Re: Wk 5: Wheelersburg @ Jackson
I was really impressed by the Wheelersburg offensive line play. They dominated the whole game, and got the yards they needed. Wheelersburg defense was very solid, and kept the Ironmen in check all night. Great game for the Pirates, not so great for my Ironmen.

Re: Week 3 Jackson vs. West Jefferson
I see the fumbles and penalties as Jackson's biggest issue right now. They have been fortunate so far that it has not hurt them too bad. Against top level competition, mental mistakes and turnovers will kill you! Hope they have worked on it this week.

Re: WHEELERSBURG FRESHMAN
As far as I know, Jackson has not moved any Freshmen up this year. I have not seen any play during Varsity games.

Re: #3 Jackson (11-0) vs #7 DeSales (9-2)
I think it is ridiculous to argue whether or not DeSales should be in this region. I think that we can compete with anyone in the region. I am looking forward to this game wherever it's scheduled to be played. I would like to see a little payback from the 1996 playoff game.

I think this will be a hard fought game. It will be tough, but the Ironmen can win.

Re: What's next for the SEOAL?
I see no reason that the league could not survive with 4 teams if we have to. It may make scheduling a little more creative, but not impossible. I always have enjoyed the competition between Jackson and Athens, and would not mind seeing them back in the league. I was never a big fan of Portsmouth in...

I was thrilled at the finish our girls came up with last night in an impressive win over Gallia. They fought all the way through and came away with a great win on Senior Night for 3 fantastic Senior girls!

Re: Jackson vs. Granville
I know Coach Hall will place alot of emphasis on taking care of the football this week. The level of play that I saw on Friday will not work against top level teams. Hope the Ironmen come out ready to play this week!

Re: D III R12 Qtrs: #7 Jackson (10-0) at #2 Athens (10-0)
Thrilled with the determination the Ironmen showed in this game! I think the Bulldogs had about the quickest defense that I have seen this year outside of Jackson's. It was a great game, but our coaches made some great halftime adjustments and Drew Ervin and that big O-line wore them down in the sec...

I am looking forward to a big playoff win and these kids further securing themselves in the Ironmen recordbook! It will be difficult to make it through the day at work waiting on gametime!

Re: D3 R12 #5 Jackson (9-1) @ #4 Eaton (10-0)
I won't even begin to try to make a prediction on this game! All I will say is that it has been a pure joy to watch this team play this year. The coaches have done a fine job preparing these boys and then making adjustments as needed. I just hope that I get to make the trip to Eaton to see this game...

Re: Week 9: SEOAL - Chillicothe (3-5, 3-1) at Jackson (7-1,
Everybody should just disregard anything an idiot like Paladin puts out. Jackson, just like most of the schools here in SE Ohio, has a great bunch of boys playing football. Whether or not that makes them a great football team may be debateable, but we love our Ironmen football team. I am sure they f...

Re: Ironton (5-1) @ Jackson (5-1)
This was a really great game. I would say that it was for sure Top Ten. Besides the games already mentioned, one of the greatest I remember was another one against Ironton. In 1980, both teams fought to a draw.

Great game for the Ironmen. They completely controlled the line of scrimmage and were able to run the ball well all night. Defense looked great. Time to get ready now for Ironton. We must maintain a high level of intensity and emotion!

Re: SEOAL: Jackson (4-1, 2-0) at Portsmouth (2-3, 1-1)
If the Ironmen continue to play with the intensity they have shown the past few weeks, they should do very well. I have really enjoyed watching these kids play this year (other than the Wellston game!). The coaching has been top-notch, the players have been out there flying around making big hits on...

Re: Week 5 - Warren (3-1, 0-1) @ Jackson (3-1, 1-0)
I see no reason why the Ironmen can't keep it rolling with a victory over the Warriors! The Ironmen looked good Friday against Logan, but there are some areas for improvement. The number one thing we have to do is quit the stupid penalties. In a tight game, these penalties can make a difference betw...

I try not to make predicitions, because those can often come back to bite you. I will say that this year's Ironmen Team is just that, It is a Team. I don't believe that we have the "one" standout athlete, but we have a whole team of boys just getting the job done. Every week we have had di...
