If they want to get back in the TVC, they’d need to move about an hour west. That’s the only issue.

Basye is POY in VB and BB Only a few hitters jump and fly into the kill. Most hitters in league stand and jump straight up and hit it...Basye, Steel, Phillips, and the Scott girl at ZT is impressive. Basye best in league. I think Pierce (U) and Mullins (WF) should be included in that list. Those tw...

61-59 win in OT over Southeastern
Down 17 early in the 4th and pulled out an OT win. Not sure what happened but congrats.
Beeler had 30
18 in 2ND half and OT
Actually, Beeler had 18 in just the 4th quarter and OT.

The last time I checked the team that scores the most is the team that wins. So, I think scoring is somewhat important.

We gotta do a better job as fans though. People screaming, cussing at the refs, telling players to punch another player...its embarrassing.
This is the reaction you get when games are bloodbaths. Officials need to start calling fouls and tempers wouldn’t get out of hand.

Re: Unioto Football Coach? Anyone know anything?

The thing that is so appealing for a Unioto or Logan Elm is Gallagher in 7 years took SE and turned them into a top tier program. The best part about that is he started a rebuild and saw it through. Evan is amazing at building culture and setting a standard of excellence across all levels of a prog...

Re: Logan @ Unioto 12/6

I was at the game tonight and it was bad (as far as officials not calling fouls), but I saw a game last Tuesday that was worse. There are certain crews that pride themselves on not interrupting the game. Well, it ends up being a bloodbath and it’s not fun to watch or to play. Parents get angry when ...

Re: Logan @ Unioto 12/6

I hate how physical the game of basketball has gotten away from the basket. It’s just too much I agree with this 100%. The way officials allow defenders to ride the ball handler and grab and push the ball handler is ridiculous. It wasn’t like that 20 years ago. I don’t know why they’ve let it get s...

Re: Southeastern coach

Good luck to Coach Adams! He's a good guy that cares about the kids. I know I'd trust him as much as anyone with the safety of my child. I think they should make a commitment to give him at least 4 years, though. Slaughter only being given one year and Strausbaugh two was not right. A coach needs an...

Anyone that applies for the Southeastern job needs their head examined. This will be their 4th coach in 5 years. It won’t be Skeens, either. He has a daughter in college to go watch.

Re: The State of Officiating... serious questions. Discuss.

I don’t go to nearly as many games as I used to because I don’t like watching the blood bath that has become high school basketball. Kids do not have a chance to show their skills because it’s become the stronger, more aggressive team wins regardless of who is better. I’d like to see fouls called wh...

Just a Guick follow up on southeastern also herd Wheeler transferred out to Unioto That's 4 girls that Southeasten lost in the last year that would have started for them in softball. Wheeler and Eldridge at Unioto, Baxter at Jackson and Popp out with injury. That really hurts. Also, Lougheed not pl...

Travis Hale is over 40 years old. Definitely not “young.”

2000-present at VC With Downs: 30-31 (49.2%) W/O Downs: 30-100 (30%) Great move 🙄 We’re actually 27-93 without downs since 2000 which is 22.5%. Not far off from what you have but again, I just want to get the correct numbers out there. Also, 30-100 is a 23.077% winning percentage, just fyi. Yes, yo...

Re: Downs out at Vinton County

Sid seems very upset by this. I can calculate from last seasons posts on football that it was well known the coach didn't have much support from the parents or the community, so your shock to this outcomes seems a bit dramatic to me. and when you talk about the administrator knowing what they are d...

I'm sure the weight room isn't going to be padlocked because they don't have a coach lol The kids who aren't playing a winter sport can still lift lol The weightroom absolutely will be locked. Schools don’t leave weightrooms open for students to lift unsupervised. No coaches, no supervision. Curtis...

Re: Downs out at Vinton County

This does hurt the kids. It also hurts the administration, though. Now, they have to search for a coach, do interviews and then wait on the board to approve or deny the hire. Who knows how long this will take? It may be April or May before a coach is hired. And in the meantime, no weightlifting, no...
