Re: What has happened to baseball at Marietta?
We went to the district semi's two years ago and lost to Circleville by 1 and they moved on to win the district and then last year we were up 8-10 runs on Waverly in the 4th and Waverly came back to win that game. The problem this year was there was only 3 seniors. Alot of good young players so expe...

Re: SEOAL 2010 Predictions and thoughts
Warren will be the team to beat. With a strong 1-2 on the mound and a lot of young talent with legion experience they have to be considered the preseason favorites. And marietta should be right there with them. Marietta's success will really hinge on if brooker can get back to his success from his s...

Warren doesnt even play Zanesville

Re: Warren @ Belpre - Week 1
I was very impressed with warren tonight. They looked real good but they did have one glaring problem. They had a bad case of arm tackling. Only one player on the team (#49) really ran through people when tackling. But if they fix that they will be a really good team. Their offense did everything ri...

Re: Waverly vs Cambridge @Zanesville 5/28
Cambridge is pretty good but i didnt think they were quite this good. We (Marietta) played them in the middle of the season and i believe we beat them 8-5. and that was with bauman starting on the mound (not saying bauman isn't good, just indicating it wasnt brockmier). but they are pretty good. one...

Re: Marietta vs. Waverly at Unioto - District Final
I will give the edge to waverly. Without Brockmeir (sp) throwing for Marietta they drop off allot. While Waverly will probaly throw Martin who would be a #1 starter on allot of other teams this year. Still should be a good game. you are very wrong sir. Bauman will be starting and he is either 5-0 o...

Re: chillicothe vs.marrieta
If i were the Tigers' coach, I would keep Mr. Brockmeir on the mound as much as possible, that's just me though. You're right, I could be wrong, but from what I saw tonight....out of the Tigers' offense, they're lucky to have a pitcher like Brockmeir to keep them in games. Like I said, could be wro...

Re: chillicothe vs.marrieta
Evan Brockmeir pitched a great game giving up only 3 hits. and bauman had a really nice catch in right. i think brockmeir made a believer out of cavalier11 today. lol tiger88, Brockmeir is a very very good high school pitcher, i'll agree with you there. He has excellent control and stamina. I also ...

Re: chillicothe vs.marrieta
well not to be cocky but i think we will definetly have the best pitcher. but defense was not our best attribute against meigs so hopefully we can get our defense back together for tomorrow. so i'm definetly looking foward to a very good game tomorrow night. hopefully alot of people come out and we ...

Re: Beverly/Lowell Legion Post 750/389
Spence and Proctor from Warren Local will be playing in Beverly. Also, I have heard Landon Kern will be trying out there. Some of the other Warriors may be going to Belpre to play. I'm sure Brockmeier will be there, what about Bauman and some of the other kids from Marietta? Who all from Fort Frye ...

Marietta vs. Meigs
Meigs - 2
Marietta - 3
Marietta played some sloppy D but still pulled off a close one that finished with Brockmeir scoring on a passed ball. Brockmeir pitched all 7 and pitched a heck of a game. I dont believe either one of Meigs run's were earned. Bauman hit a 2 run HR also

Re: Division II - Southeast District - teams & records
Marietta is 12-6. I think the 2 seed in the south will come down to Athens, Chilli, and Marietta. But prolly more like Marietta and Chilli because Athens plays in the TVC Ohio and there is some weak teams in there (excluding Meigs). But yea hopefully Marietta comes out with a 2 seed.
