Thanks for making my point. Meigs hit their high point with Lilly and Sheets and the next group of seniors only had one year of the Hocking League. The decline has started now with kids who played two years Hocking League. Senior class with two or more years of Hocking League are winless. Who knows ...

Meigs will finish with 4 wins regardless of injuries, unless they play some weak team in the holiday tournament.

In comparison to the other TVC schools Meigs is not a little school. Although enrollment is dropping because kids are flocking to nearby better rated school districts. Main point is that the number of kids out for basketball went down due to Hocking League and fundamentals neglected in favor of W’s....

I think the point is valid regardless of what the 8th grade group does if the four grades ahead of them do nothing in the meantime. One class can have exceptional athletes and overcome a flaw in he system. (Such as Meigs having Colton Lilly and transfer Kaleb Sheets carry them for a couple of years.)
