Re: WK 7: Buckeye Trail 8 @ Fort Frye 30 Final
From where I was standing....most of Trails passes were to the flats on both sides of the field. And most were well covered, drops, or for short gains. Fair enough. I was just commenting on the statement that it took Trail 3 quarters to take a shot downfield. From where I was standing, in a trips s...

Re: WK 7: Buckeye Trail (2-4) @ Fort Frye (6-0) Homecoming
Trail has to be kicking themselves stopped in the redzone 3 times. Snoodgrass played a heck of a game not sure why they stopped giving him the ball. Final 30-8 Cadets Agree. Their play calling was not sharp. With Cadet defenders crowding the line, it took 3 quarters before Trail took a shot down fi...

Re: Week 8 Caldwell (7-0) @ Fort Frye (7-0) PVC Championship
Should be a good game. I've seen both play. Caldwell's line impresses me more, also their QB play. The freshman for FF is good, but not as good as Caldwell's QB. Caldwell by 14+

What prison? I know a bunch of guys who work at Belmont???? They still don't understand how Union Local lost to Monroe Central.

Re: WK 7: Buckeye Trail (2-4) @ Fort Frye (6-0) Homecoming
My high school ran wing-t. In 1981. What are they thinking? Trail ran wing t against Barnesville. I was actually at this game with guys from the prison. I don't know how to put it, Barnesville was the better team, but Trail should have won the game. Trail shot themselves in the foot twice by not sco...

Re: Week 7: River (5-1) @ Bridgeport (2-4)
I have seen River play once this year (against Zeps) and it was not pretty for either team. Having said that, River should have no problem with the Bulldogs, for after Buckeye Local and Bellaire the Bulldogs might be one of the worst teams in the Valley.

Re: WK 7: Buckeye Trail (2-4) @ Fort Frye (6-0) Homecoming
Besides the loss to Cameron, Trails losses came to teams with a combined record of 17-1. I thought I read that the Cameron film was submitted to the OVAC, and Trail was issued an apology. In addition to that wasn't Trail made well aware that no officials on that crew would be allowed to officiate a...

Sorry, I should have clarified: Trail was best team between them and the Zeps that Barnesville has played.EasternDspy wrote:I figure Meadowbrook is the best team Barnesville has played.

Re: Pioneer Valley Conf 2015
Aside from the week one debacle at Cameron, and from what I heard it was a debacle, Trail's loses are to teams that are a combined 14-1. My neighbors boy plays for Barnesville and he said that Trail by far gave them the best game they have seen all year.

Re: WK 4: Monroe Central (2-1) @ Caldwell (3-0)
Actually I correct my previous post: Belmont Union Local ran for 200+ yards in the third quarter against Monroe, not the entire second half. Caldwell has many more weapons than UL and a much better quarterback. Not saying Monroe is bad, awful, etc, but Caldwell is a very, very good ball team.

Re: WK 4: Monroe Central (2-1) @ Caldwell (3-0)
Caldwell by 14+. With the weapons that they have, Caldwell does not need Lori to beat Monroe. Keep in mind, an average Union Local team ran for nearly 200 yards in the second half alone against Monroe. Yes I know that Monroe won the game, but Caldwell is much better than UL.

Re: Frontier and Buckeye Trail
Holy cow. Sounds like Trail had answer for those big play makers? My buddy who works at prison who was at game said it was running clock by third of fourth play of the second half.

Re: WK 3: Monroe Central (2-0) @ River (2-0)
Sorry, and this is certainly not a shot at River (who played a good game), but Monroe is not the power-house this year as "advertised". Not saying that Monroe is bad, or even not good, but not any where near the team that they were last year.

Re: WK 3: Caldwell (2-0) @ Shadyside (0-2)
Holenka at Shadyside is a good coach, but I've seen both teams play (in person) and I say Caldwell by 3 TD's.

Re: Week 2: Caldwell (1-0) @ Buckeye Trail (0-1)
Isn't Trail suppose to better? That being said I hope Caldwell puts 80 on them go PVC! Just curious, since I know nothing about the history here, but why would anyone want to see high school student athletes humiliated? I mean, is it so bad that Trail is leaving the conference (I take it that they ...

Re: Pioneer Valley Conf 2015
From what I heard, Trail got a good dose of West Virginia officiating. Supposedly 21 points came of the board because of "holding" calls. Something like 10 for Trail, 0 for Cameron the entire game.

Re: Thoughts on the PVC this year?
Saw Union Local scrimmage Buckeye Trail yesterday. Trail varsity beat them 2-0. Not sure UL had more than 2 first downs all day.
