Re: #3 Jackson (11-0) vs #7 DeSales (9-2)
DeSales is the pick and it may not be close. BTW, the SEO Regional has mostly SEO teams with few from outside of " Dogpatch ", but the region is rarely won by kin, lol. Since the area has not done much to make itself relevant, why worry now? Well, well. Look who decided to come hang around...

Re: #3 Jackson (11-0) vs #7 DeSales (9-2)
Is DeSales the "home" team at the neutral site because they knocked off the #2 seed Dover or is Jackson the "home" team at the neutral site because we had the higher seed when to begin with? Pretty sure DeSales would be the home team unless the OHSAA makes an exception since DeS...

Re: #3 Jackson (11-0) vs #7 DeSales (9-2)
DeSales is probably a good matchup for Jackson since they're a run-oriented team. The Jackson defense has been stout all year, so hopefully that continues. Jackson absolutely can't put the ball on the ground like they did tonight or it's lights out. Could definitely see this being a defensive strugg...

Re: #4 Athens (11-0) vs #1 Tri Valley (11-0)
Watched last year's classic game between these two teams. I'm not really sure TV will be able to hang with Athens this time. Very surprised that the Scotties only beat New Philly by a TD, but maybe they were looking ahead.
I think Athens probably wins this one comfortably though.

Re: Week 11 Jackson vs Logan Elm
Very uncharacteristic performance by the Ironmen tonight. You can't put the ball on the ground six or seven times, and lose five of them and still win very often, but they were able to get the W. That stuff can't happen next week or things will get ugly. Luckily the Jackson D was strong, as always, ...

Re: Region 9 after week 9 (an extreme analysis)
Unless Joe Eitel is somehow wrong, DeSales' max average is less than where Logan Elm currently sits. He takes into account the final L2 divisor in the max/min projections, so it should be locked in as it currently stands.

Re: Region 9 after week 9 (an extreme analysis)
Athens should want Wellston to beat Vinton County. They get more L2 points if Wellston wins that game. If the games end up the way I think they will, it should be very hard for Athens to pass Jackson. ....wrong because Jackson would get those same points....VC winning gives Jackson nothing Yeah, th...

Re: Shane Wolford resigns as Jackson head coach
I am not defending Jackson fans who have made rude comments toward Shane or his family. Most people are not in a position to be questioning coaches. But to make it seem like Jackson is the only place where this happens is just plain wrong. There are bad fans at every single school in Ohio. I am sure...

Re: Shane Wolford resigns as Jackson head coach
I thought there might be a good bit of chatter about Wolford's resignation. I first want to say good luck to Shane in whatever he decides to do in the future. It is clear that he cares a great deal for the Jackson football program and I'm sure he did everything he could to prepare his teams. He is a...

Re: Week 10: Zanesville (4-5, 3-2) @ Jackson (5-4, 2-4)
Zanesville should win this one easy. I should've known that would be coming after my post on the Logan/Chilly topic. Nice job. You really got me good with that one. In all my years of reading these forums and posting every now and then, I dont think I have ever come across anyone quite like Army, o...

Re: Game of Week #4 Chillicothe vs. #1 Logan SEOAL Championship
Looks like buckeyeCav thinks the score will be 24-14 in favor of Chillicothe. I'm glad he posted that because some of us might have missed it the first 10 times. If you're going to keep posting on a thread you might want to add something to the conversation instead of sounding like a broken record. ...

Re: WK 10 Western Brown @ Portsmouth
Really thought Portsmouth would have a solid season despite being so young. I never dreamed that they would have only one win going into the last week of the season. I'll have to take Western Brown in this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a close game. Portsmouth will be much better the next...

The Rockets have really improved this season. 3-6 right now but they lost some close games as well. I think they'll pull out a win over the Spartans on senior night.

Warren has improved, but not enough to hang with Ironton. Looks like the Tigers will roll into the playoffs with a 7-3 record.

Re: Week 10: Zanesville (4-5, 3-2) @ Jackson (5-4, 2-4)
Been a rough three game stretch for Jackson and it doesn't get much easier with Zanesville. I hope the Ironmen play well on Friday night...would really like to see 6-4 rather than 5-5. Must tackle better than they did against Logan. Need to get the running game going also, but might be hard to do wi...

Logan wins this one 35-17. The Cavs are good, but Logan is better. Chiefs win their fifth straight SEOAL title.

Re: WK 10 Oak Hill @ Green
I share the same feelings as KarlAgathon and ironman02. It would be crazy to fire Phillips now that he has the Oak Hill program moving in the right direction. The Oak Hill football team has shown steady improvement under Phillips and his staff the last three seasons and I believe that trend will con...

Re: WK 2 (0-1) River Valley @ (0-1) Oak Hill
A long shot indeed. We need to winout, and also have some help from the Peake. But right now the boys main focus needs to be on River Valley this Friday night. Didn't hear if the boys had a good practice tonight or not. I hope so though. Go Big O Peake won't give Oak Hill any help as far as the pla...
