Re: Ohio University Team Camp

I have no doubt this camp is probably a good one, but I wanted to hear from area coaches what the reason would be to go to this camp over another one. I mean you can't say that your kids will be getting a look from the coaches at OU. They don't even want to talk to our kids in this area, unless it's...

Re: Green Bobcats

Frank Seriously, Newsome in the late 80's? I don't see how you get that. I believe his statement when he left Green in 87-88 was that he didn't see the program going anywhere and then the 2 best seasons in Green's history occurred in the next couple of years. Newsome did nothing for Green in the 80'...

Re: Consolidation in Scioto Co.

Alabama Mike if consolidation ever comes, I hope it doesn't, milage for kids will be list to the money of the issue. I k ow Vinton County schools cover 414 square miles, not sure about Logan-Hocking schools. 151 square miles to those schools don't seem like much. Again, I hope it never happens but I...

Re: What the TVC needs.....

Crebman 1, In central Ohio there is the Mid-State League, which I believe has three divisions. I do not think this would work in the Southeast district. My biggest reason is the one given by teams leaving the SEOAL, that travel is a killer. If you keep adding teams further away, it gets tougher and ...

Re: What the TVC needs.....

questionmark,

I completely agree that the TVC needs nothing at this point. People need to look at what happened to the SEOAL in the last few years. They added four teams to their league and then things started to fall apart, almost from the beginning. Perhaps that is what people want for the TVC.

Re: Should the TVC let Warren back in?

The TVC Ohio schools with the changes being made will be Wellston, Vinton County, Athens, Alexander, Meigs, and Nelsonville-York correct? There is not that big of a drive to any of those schools. I would say many of these just got rid of the longest road trip which was to Belpre. Why would they now ...

Re: What the TVC needs.....

You guys who keep saying the TVC should invite Point Pleasant into the league are crazy! This will do nothing for the league except cause problems. WV schools are on a different time schedule as far as when their seasons begin and end. And they would probably just leave the league after a few BAD ye...

If it is that incredible why are teams leaving(or looking to leave)?

Re: Bill Sauer Field

I have heard about the story of Bill Sauer before, but am glad that it has received national coverage. I only wish more communities had that kind of dedication and loyalty to their schools and teams. Sometimes it really is more about the people than the wins and loses in high school sports.

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll

Hater,

I agree 100% the kids come first. I just think if this is happening(I am not saying it is not) then someone needs to take it to the administration and not just talked about it on a forum. I hope the Vikings heal and move forward on a positive note.

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll

Hater,

I was wondering if you have talked to the administration about injured players not getting medical attention when needed? Also, isn't the trainer at their practices for injuries?

What kind of practices are they running down there in Vinton County these days?

Have you talked to the administration about these practices?

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll

Hater I had this question posed to me by a teacher of mine in high school when we were on the way to an 0-10 season. He said to me how do you guys even stand going to practice? I loved football and wanted to play and I could hold my head up as long as I gave everything I had in practice and games!!!...

Re: Vinton County @ Bloom Carroll

I am trying to figure out how this defeat is placed on the administration and then you name Jackson and Waverly. I do agree those two schools are tough opponents, but Unioto and Bloom-Carroll? Those two schools are not known as powerhouse football schools. I am not putting those schools down, but wh...

I heard the 7th grade from Bloom Carroll looked pretty good last night versus Logan and Lancaster. Any one else hear anything about this?

Re: Who is the best shooter ever played for your High School?

I agree with your assessment of the Furnace. Brian Roach is still the all time leading scorer for the Bobcats with over 1600 pts. don't remember the number. Scarberry was a pure shooter for the Cat's.

Re: TVC POY

akww and polpot, Your answer is in bballinfo2's response. If Coach Wolfe votes for his daughter, that leaves 6 coaches to decide between Smith and Kline. All they have to do is split votes and you have co-poy in the ohio division. Amazing how things work out. Best of luck to all the teams in the sou...

Re: Basketball Situation at Green

Sorry. I meant to put this in my first post:

If people were harassing the coach that is COMPLETELY out of bounds. Those people should definitely be ashamed and I think the coach should have taken action with the police if it were necessary.
