Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach

I would think the kentucky trojan horse candidate would be AJ Pratt. Definitely an interesting candidate. Probably the most qualified candidate out there and a phs grad to boot. If there is any legitimacy to him being interested in coming back home, it would be hard for portsmouth to turn him away imo

Re: Portsmouth to the s.o.c.

Looks like Axe N Shield has a serious axe to grind. Portsmouth >Sciotoville in facilities and Portsmouth > Sciotoville in test scores..should probably quit making fun of the education at Portsmouth and be concerned about the education in Sciotoville OHIO DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION OHIO GRADUATION TESTS...

Re: Portsmouth vs. Cincinnati Summit Country Day - D3 Title

I would just like to say a great big thank you to Coach Collins and his staff for all their hard work!!! They have helped revive Portsmouth's proud basketball program back to the level that many of us old timers had grown accustomed to seeing on a yearly basis. It was so much fun to follow this grou...

With all due respect intended, as you were one of my idols as a young Trojan, there are no "former Trojans" Jeff. Because "once a Trojan, always a Trojan!!!! Get one for the thumb Trojans!!

1 4 U it's good to see you back supporting your old team. I was beginning to wonder if you had been sucked into being a traitor and forgetting where you came from like some others I can think of. Hope your heart still has some red and blue going through it. Remember Once a Trojan Always a Trojan.

Re: Portsmouth at Gallipolis (Jan. 7)

Trojans win 49 to 44. Let a 16 point lead slip away in the 2nd half. Pressure seemed to cause them trouble again. Thank goodness Bendolph comes back the next game. This should help with the ballhandling difficulties IF he is given the chance to play. I must say I have been surprised by the starting ...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans at Disney World

Great job Trojans!! Thanks for the update Coach Rhea and keep us posted tomorrow as well. Absolutely loved the 78 state champs pic Tobias. Brings back a lot of good memories. I wouldn't trade the late 70's and 80's of watching Trojan hoops for anything. Truly an awesome time in my life personally. I...

Re: Final: Warren 68 Portsmouth 64 (12/18)

Good win for Warren against the Trojans. The Trojans need to cut down on the turnovers and silly mistakes late in ball games to become the team that they are capable of being. Not sure the coaching staff put the players in the best position to win as Zaide Whitley watched the 2nd half from the bench...

Re: Portsmouth Trojans 2010-2011

Trojan Dave, Your last post has raised my curiousity. Some names that immediately come to mind to fit the description you listed are: Joe Suboticki..but he hasn't been an asst at PHS before, Jeff Lisath...but he isn't a "former" head coach, Mike Lovenguth, and Mike Hughes. Am I in the ball...

Re: What are the dimensions of the new Portsmouth field?

volsfan, I must say that it makes me happy to see some of the old Trojan and East ender coming back out in you. I knew that the mention of that old coach from Oak Hill's name would get the red and blue blood flowing in you again. I recall a day when you helped that old coach and drug those 2 boys of...

Rockfish,
Are you referring to the basketball program only or other programs (baseball, football) when referring to the coaching shakeup??

Re: Portsmouth Basketball 2009-10

Don't be too quick to discount Lisath's interest in the Portsmouth job. Anyone who really knows Jeff, knows where his heart lies and what his "dream job" is. I am not saying that he would even apply for the job this time, but I do know that he has applied for the job the last three times i...

Re: Portsmouth Basketball 2009-10

If Shoemaker is indeed looking around, I sure hope that Portsmouth gives Jeff Lisath a good, long look. I know he isn't a teacher, but he is getting ready to go to the Final Four AGAIN!! He definitely understands the tradition of Trojan Basketball and already sports 2 State Championship rings from t...

Re: Minford High School coach resigns

Shoemaker? Very interesting as I'm sure the Falcons will try to lure back one of their own. Copley at Portsmouth? Would Portsmouth be interested in bringing back one of their own as well? If Shoemaker were to leave would Jeff Lisath once again pursue his most coveted job? Would Portsmouth consider h...

Re: Portsmouth Athletic Complex

Leave it to someone from East to cast a negative spin on a great thing for the City of Portsmouth, Portsmouth City Schools, and the students/community members. As for the comment about being 2 million dollars in the hole in 2 years, I just chalk it up to someone from East trying to take another chea...
