Just to let all know that we still have open spots on our roster, and we will not make a definite roster decision until we have to turn it in to the state. We are having another practice/tryout this afternoon at Vinton County High School at 4:00 pm, will probably last 2-3 hours if interested please ...

As far as, was it tougher, "back in the day" I don't think so, you still have to go to practice and you are still expected to compete, just like "back in the day", the thing I see is these coaches want "their" players all year long, if you are an athlete it is not going...

Go on the internet and check for organic weedkillers, that is what I am doing at home and on the field. Jackson County American Legion, we are 5-9 (three were forfeits because of lack of players) in the league, 10-11 overall, not too bad for the first year, very proud of my guys, and thankful for the support from the Jackson County Community. We WILL improve next year!!

Their will be a practice at Oak Hill High School on Sat. May 31, @ 1:00 to help us gel a little before we take care of bussiness, and show people that Baseball is alive and well in Jackson County, and Southern Ohio!!

The 2nd Date is set for 1:00 pm Sat/Sun 24/25 of May @ Jackson High School, unless the weather changes our mind.

Zach Haislop, (OakHill) ended the season with 11 Homeruns, 2 Grand slams, I was told between 450/500 BA, Don't know about RBI I am sure he had several.
