I agree it would be great to see more women in coaching. Not sure why there aren't - is it cultural, is it because of the family thing, is it something else? I don't think it is because administrators don't want them, in fact with all the scary liability issues out there they probably think it would...

In the last 20 years or so (Amyx era) they occasionally have dressed freshman for the final game or two of the season once the freshman season was over. A couple of those kids occasionally made it into a ball game if it was a blow out, and it might be possible someone played on a special team or two...

No, a head coach does not have to be a teacher, but Logan has been lucky enough that it has been. They like it that way and it makes sense if there is someone qualified. I think the bowling coach wasn't a teacher, and they had hired a volleyball coach that wasn't but she resigned before the season s...

Pat Walsh from Logan would have to be considered. He took over a program that was in total disarray several years ago and has built it into a winner. Going into this year he lost one of the best players in the area (Cassady) at point guard before the season even started, and has had two of his best ...
