Re: Portsmouth Coaching Job
One of the joys of reading PREPS is how everybody believes that their high school can make an Urban Meyer-type hire who will bring in a Tom Hermann and an Ed Warriner in to fix everything about the football program. Because that's how high school football usually works, right? Those are the priorit...

Re: Portsmouth west @ bishop Hartley
All of these comments are (IMO) showing that the new staff at West has done a good job at bringing back excitement and more importantly discipline and good fundamental play to West Football. I see West gaining respect as a solid opponent. As CoachC mentioned, this is an undersized group of kids and...

Re: WK 10 ROCK HILL 2-7 (1-2) @ COAL GROVE 6-3 (3-0)
Well then, that's what the BOE needs to do. He sure doesn't have the statistics, to make them want to keep him. They need to give someone else a chance to turn around a program, that is on life support. I thought that the Blue Devils needed a change but after seeing what is going on down at Rock Hi...

Re: Week 10: (8-1) Raceland KY @ (6-2) Ironton
Well, I'll throw my two cents in the hat. Here's why ironton should join league. 1. The days of ironton competing for a state on a consistent basis is over. A. Why? Three reasons: 1. 7 divisions with 8 teams. 2. The city private schools 3. Southeastern ohio is poor, we are barely surviving. Parents...

Taking a 1-9 team and possibly going 6-4 a year later. He's done one helluva job, IMO.

Re: Week 8 - Portsmouth West at Waverly
I must say I have watched West play this year and yes I believed with this coaching staff they have turned the corner with self discipline and respect. You can see it on the field, cheer block and fans. It's great to see this and keep doing what your doing! Thank you. It is quite a change. I gotta ...

I'm also wondering if there are any FOOTBALL threads, where people can talk actual football? Shouldn't this stuff be on Topix or trash like that? There is some good football to talk about this year!

:-D What a joke you continue to be for us. Bud do you understand Triplett retired from coaching! He didn't get fired, he quit! Then West hired a new coach, Johnson....end of story bro. Every time you, playa44 & local superstar(same person) write something, you embarrass the previous staff and m...

Playa44 aka local superstar, doesn't really understand football, no less how a locker room runs. The post by Dr know was freakin awesome! And hilarious. If any coach pulls locker room material from SEOPS, they should lose their job.

Usually well conditioned players get cramps! I have to change my mind about this game. I thought Ironton could win by 14 and still do. Now I think Burg will win. Hope I am wrong. Good Luck Tigers! If well conditioned players usually get cramps then Ironton year in and year out must be the most cond...

I would think you might want to wait until at least one or two seasons before asking that question. Why are you comparing Mcdavid anyway? Johnson is the coach....isn't he?freebee wrote:Would that be an even trade McDavid for Newsome and Triplett?

Re: Portsmouth West Football 2014
Here you go spinning again. Once Coach Johnson and staff have some win/losses under their belt then you can tell us how great they are. (and they may be who knows) the point is he has never had his own varisty team, assembled a staff, and so on. Much like the assistants so far have never had the le...

Any plans for West to get turf in the future? really! After all the crap you write, you want to ask a simple question. You and your 4-5 different identity's are the weirdest people on here. Why would anyone take you serious. You admit to being a troll and we all know you're a loser anyway, so go to...

southern Ohio, where the adults lose sleep and argue about high school football because their life sucks. Westfan, oaf, local superstar, and dreamweaver, you guys should explain to these KIDS, how depressing life is after high school. Hard to argue with that. And since your spending your Monday mor...
