Re: Jr. High Softball League
I think the answer to all of this is WAY TO EASY........ If the girls don't have a place to play, then someone needs to get off their butt and put together a team! It seems like there are so many people looking for an easy way out. So many people want someone else to do all of the hard work and try ...

Re: Div 4 - Lancaster
As I have had the night to reflect on some things and to "sleep on it". I really must say that last nights game was really a great game. The thing that comes to mind is trying to categorize the level of talent in last nights game between Eastern Pike and South Webster. I have been here at ...

Re: Div 4 - Lancaster
First let me say that I feel priveledged to have been a witness to one of the best volleyball games I have ever seen. Both, South Webster and Eastern Pike played their butts off and honestly left everything on the court tonight. With that being said something that I heard tonight really stumped me. ...

Re: Div 4 Dostrict - Wellston
Yes, I agree Eastern passes well. However, South Webster is very efficient and can get to balls that are difficult for most teams. They pass well and their setters are accurate. and what teams have the most trouble with is a 6'2" middle hitter that is absolutely nasty when she in the front row ...

Re: Div 4 Dostrict - Wellston
Webster wins it in four. Webster looked good tonight. Looks like Eastern will have their hands full with that big middle hitter Webster has.

Re: M.O.V. Flamin' Fury 14u
Travel ball puts too much emphasis on winning?!? Give me a break! Isn't that why some kids practice practically year 'round and parents pay to travel all over the US? Why is winning a bad thing? I don't care what people say, losing sucks! Yes, kids learn from losing, as they should. But people who s...

Upcoming players (Part 2)
I posted this question on the Jr. High side, but for those of you who do not check that one out...... What young players (grades 4, 5 & 6) should everyone be on the lookout for? Now with the jr. high programs in full swing everyone can see who is out there at that age level. But what about the y...

Upcoming players
Sounds like there is some talent on the jr. high teams. What about the younger girls, like grades 4, 5 & 6? Any strong players? How about pitching? From what people have told me, it takes a lot of dedication and hard work to be a stand out pitcher. Anyone coming up? How about big bats?

SBlover, you stated:
"Sorry the umpire cried that the coach hurt his feelings maybe he should be the bigger adult and get over it.. "
Couldn't the same be said for the coach?
That's all I have to say on this subject.

Re: Scores for Jr. High Softball Post them here.
First, I was not sitting on Valley's side, so I know nothing of what the ump was saying to the "Valley people". In fact, I was not sitting on either side. No, I am not the ump and no I am not the ump's wife. So let's just get that all cleared up..... Second, I was not bashing a coach for h...

Re: Scores for Jr. High Softball Post them here.
First, no where did I say anything about Valley's coach. He seemed like a pretty good guy. Second, when a coach is taking pop shots at an umpire's (or anyone for that matter) physical appearance in front of a group of young "impressionable" kids, yeah that's pretty bad. Maybe it was just p...

Re: Scores for Jr. High Softball Post them here.
I was at the Valley/East game this evening and was quite disturbed at the actions of one of the coaches. From what I could tell, there was a problem with a call that apparently did not go over well with a coach. Instead of letting it go, the coach continued to make disparaging remarks directed towar...
