Re: Unioto JR High Soccer Tournament
From some involvement in my daughter’s Soccer world it would appear that the most athletic and experienced kids play club Fall and Spring at the Jr. high age. Most of the higher level kids don’t filter into the school programs until high school. The thought process is 1) it is not a coed experie...

Re: SVC Expansion
If your gona add 2 bigs. Why not make Chillicothe one of them? Because Unioto wants no part of Chillicothe. They prefer playing against schools that are poorer, more rural, and half their size. Sid really!?!?!? How about leaving the trash talk out of an informative conversation. The two schools hav...

Re: Should big enrollment equal football wins?
Interesting topic. I will listen to the podcast then comment. Plus it will be much easier to type a post on an actual keyboard. I will say one thing regarding Unioto. They have a head coach in place who is dedicated to the program and willing to develop it from the elementary school on up.

Girls AAU question.
I am curious. I know most AAU teams play from Spring to early Summer but are there any that play purely in the Summer months (June, July and August? My daughter is interested in playing AAU basketball but also likes playing Soccer. I was looking to see if there are any AAU teams she could try out fo...

Re: SVC Expansion
I think the original post is a bit much. But as others have mentioned adding a Waverly another big school then two smaller schools make sence. As one poster mentioned there are more sports than just football and boys basketball. And yes the league does have some weak spots when SVC teams play in the...

Practicing...
My wife and I were discussing the number of practices that junior high and pee wee (football) teams practice per week. Our son plays 7th grade football, and we were curious as to what other schools at his, and the lower levels are doing. I am curious to see if there is a difference from some of the ...

Re: OHSAA approves 22 game schedule beginning in 2012
I don't see much difference in what two more games make. As a fan I enjoy the additional opportunities to watch the games, and as a player I would enjoy playing. Financially, when you look at how much parents are paying to send their children to camps or AAU ball etc. The chefs figures are inexpensi...

Re: McClain(0-1) @ Unioto(1-0) Week 2
Don't know much about McClain, but for Unioto to win they cannot make mistakes that turn into easy scores, as if that needs said of any team. This will be a good test for Unioto's offense to see if the can continue to sustain drives for scoring opportunities. The last three quarters they didn't do b...

Re: Players or Coaches?
Interesting question. I would say I would give the edge to the coach. And here is my reasoning: a good coach who has the ability to teach will teach the players the right things. As well as motivate them to give their best. He/she also has the ability/ vision to build a program, so the coach  will ...
