Re: SW @ Waverly Updates
All the Jeeps needed to do was hold the ball like everyone was yelling in the stands to do. Up 10 points with less then 3 minutes to go. Hold the ball and make them foul you. Plus Waverly only had 3 fouls so would have taken some time. We lost this one because of ourselves.

Re: Best fit for the TVC- Fort Frye or Oak Hill
Keep in mind Oak Hill wanted to move up to the SOC-2. The TVC is a good league but the SOC-2 is a good league as well. Oak Hill has close ties with the schools. They are similar size to most. Many reasons for OH to stay just where they are. And the biggest "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

Re: SOC All Star Game
Just curious and I may be wrong. Why does Webster have the preview and the all star game every year? Not that i'm complaining about it

Re: 3/7 Trimble vs. New Boston District Championship
Mixed feelings about you all and Webster having to play each other. A Jeep fan here but knew you guys were going to be tough and both teams had a good chance. That's behind us now and I for one want to wish New Boston the best of luck. Same applies to Wheelersburg boys and girls teams. You are playi...

I just looked and it does not appear to be the case to me. Hope we stay D4. Not sure though, the numbers seem to be from an old count.

Word is South Webster will be going to D3 next year. I haven't checked for myself but from a reliable person.

I don't think Webster was ever in SOC 1 in basketball. Maybe when there wasn't two divisions.

Re: School District Oddities and Trivia
"There's a lot of little bits of information about SW that's interesting. If you notice, it's called "Bloom-Vernon Local Schools" which is the Bloom and Vernon townships! I can't recall the exact details, maybe someone else can, but the South Webster area used to split where 140 went ...

Re: School District Oddities and Trivia
Another thing about Bloom-Vernon LSD. Up until a certain time about half of Vernon Township residents had the option of going to Webster or Wheelersburg High Schools. Then a vote took place and the residents voted to go with Webster Schools. I do not know when this vote happened. Also, before the ne...

Re: School District Oddities and Trivia
South Webster HS covers the Bloom-Vernon School District. It borders Wheelersburg, Sciotoville (East), Minford, Oak Hill, Rock Hill and Green. South Webster HS was built in 1988 and was one of the very first new schools built with help from the State of Ohio and luckily before The School Facilty Co...

Re: New Boston vs South Webster 12/30
The printed SW wallet schedules say this is at South Webster. I recieved 1 email from ArbiterSports saying at SW and 1 saying it is at NB. Sounds like there may have been some early schedule change and someone forgot to delete one, lol. hey, meet in the middle and play at East.

Re: Ironton St. Joe to SOC
Ok for many years now I've heard Waverly wants to leave the SOC-2. What advantage would there be to do that? What league would they want to join, I assume the Scioto Valley? In my opinion the SOC 2 typically has some good teams every year. One school will be good and then another comes along as that...

Re: SW Boys Coach
I think it's pretty well known Webster's new coach is Brenton Cole. I feel that is a great choice and well deserved. I do have a question, should the school board, who makes the ultimate decision, allow the new coach to pretty much name his assistants?

Re: Future of the SOC
Uhm, i'm a history buff as well and this is a history I found online. Not say u r wrong. Just seems to be some conflicting info out there. I asked an ex basketball coach one time and he wasn't sure either. He even thought Webster might have been in another league at one time. The Southern Ohio Confe...

Re: Future of the SOC
"This is why South Webster is in SOC 2 for basketball because at the Time of Reconfiguration they were 8th in size. So they HAD to move up. They are now smaller than Eastern and Western (who are D3 this year) but the league can maintain its Status Quo unless it adds members. This is why South W...

Re: 2017-18 SOC2 Thoughts/Predictions
Thanks Art. I have to agree Webster technically fits better in SOC 1 as far as size. I imagine even our overall record would improve since probable more wins then playing the larger SOC 2 schools. However Webster has never been in SOC 1(to best of my knowledge). Not counting I assume when there was ...
