Shawnee St 2024 Season updates
SSU with new Coach Kristen Bradshaw from Northwest , and former coach of PHS , started out strong against Asbury College ( Ky) getting a DH sweep . Cassie Schaffer from ND got the win in Game 1 , and Emma Wargel ( sp ?) threw a no hitter in a 16-0 win in Game 2 . Wishing the best for new Coach B and...

Who are ND's leaders ? I know the pitcher is going to Pitt ( ?? I think) SW has a good squad back ? And Wes...

Re: Ironton 2022
For example -- I know a team in Ky that went to the Final four last year with not too much better talent than Ironton. I'd say pitching is around equal. So could they beat a young Burg team ? sure . Maybe not in a 5 game series but 1 game with 15-18 year olds , anything can happen.

Re: Ironton 2022
Sure .. anytime you have an HS ace that good you have a shot . Would Burg be the favorite / sure , but softball is all about pitching , and when you got it you are in every game , assuming they can play even a ounce of D

Any Sept 1st offers of note ?
New rules allow offers then .. I heard an ACC school was going to offer 1 pitcher and a big ten school another to ( semi) local thrower .

Re: Head Coach Vacancy
^^very true . We gave 1 guy a hard time this year but he was consistently blowing calls , against us ... in a big spot called obstruction on our SS receiving a throw from the catcher on a stolen base attempt . .... in my 20 years of fastpitch I've never ever seen it called ... the throw was SLIGHTLY...

Re: 2021 Softball Signings
Shawnee made a good hire , the former assistant from Lindsey Wilson is a good guy and a hard worker -- he knows how to recruit to win. They will be looking to be a player in the Mid South conference but that conference is the best NAIA conference in America -- easily . Its extremely difficult to rec...

Re: SOC 1 Predictions
Nice article from local sportswriters listing 30 players from the Southeast District regardless of division that they listed on the SOSA All area team. Article is here https://www.sosaohio.com/2021/06/21/softball-take-a-look-at-sosas-all-area-team/ Congratulations to the 3 SOC 1 players to make the...

Always has been , Always will be ... its the old school boys club in the SOC1 . Its one thing to fight for your girl who deserves recognition , its another when you are pumping kids stats to get awards that should go elsewhere ... as they say in Cali " Its a Valley thing" and I'm not talk...

Re: SOC 1 Predictions
IMO Player of the Year means you were the VERY best player in that conference all year long. It’s not the Person of the Year award or Pitcher of the Year Award or Utility Player of the Year Award. It’s an award for the player that hit for the best hitting numbers, pitched their team to wins on main...

Re: SOC 1 Predictions
Lol you're just never going to win arguing stats.. I thought the SOC1 nailed it this year. It was the one year they didn't vote strictly on record and stats. Estep was easily coach of the year. Some of the other coaches with better records they have much better talent on their team, thanks to the k...

Re: Head Coach Vacancy
These school districts should understand that quality coaches aren’t lining up to apply for these jobs. A few of the open jobs (baseball and softball) had teams that were actually relevant this season. It’s sad to see board members let disgruntled parents make their decisions for them. Some of thes...
