Re: Open Jobs

Waverlyguru01 wrote: Thu Mar 27, 2025 5:56 pm How did he do at South Gallia I am generally asking because I don't know.
5 seasons. Won a couple of sectionals, reached a district final. Best season was 18-6.

A couple of bad seasons as well, can’t leave those out, but just looking back it seems like he did fairly well.

Re: Open Jobs

Portsmouth Clay has hired Larry Howell (Portsmouth West Girls) to be their next head coach. Howell was also the boys varsity assistant. That’s a great hire. He did outstanding with the girls program at West and the cupboard isn’t dry there, so he must have a nice feeling about the Panthers future h...

Re: 2025 Season(Boys)

Unioto lost a couple of starters, but both were first year players. Have their whole defense back, plus two capable goalkeepers. One of their better attackers will be back after a dirty tackle took him out of about half of last season. Plus, their top two players will be sophomores and that should c...

Re: Boys State Championship Games

I hope they’ve tallied up the distance on those back to back bombs that Kwasniak hit to get his team back in the game They are down 38-34 at the half, but he’s got 23 and has been ridiculous How many did Kawasaki end up with today? 38 and 6 assists He was 13-23 from the field, he just couldn’t get ...

With this, plus how he called today, that means he’s probably a MAC guy.

Re: Monroe Central 24-25

Congratulations to the Seminoles! They completely shut down everything that Marion Local wanted to do and they were able to handle a super physical game to win their first title. I thought they carried themselves 10x better than ML did and even on the weak calls, reacted minimally and just moved on....

Re: Boys State Championship Games

Monroe Central is about to win and Spectrum's play by play guy sounds thoroughly depressed. Was it because he just watched that entire game? 😂 I’ll take an ugly dogfight win to win a state championship anytime, I’m just saying it wasn’t pretty. Spectrum isn’t great for being the big dogs, which is ...

Re: Boys State Championship Games

Really good game to start the last day with Lutheran East beating Columbus Academy by 4 Was a pretty back and forth game, but the guards for the Lue took over and carried them down the stretch. For the second straight game, the Lue didn’t have the best player on the floor, as CA’s Jason Singleton wa...

The VA will have 2 regional finals. Not sure what all they’ll have before that, but I do know of those.

I’m 95% sure that it has to hit something above the backboard, but since there is no support above it, I just thought it was bad luck for Minford.

Re: TVC hocking predictions?

I nominate this thread for dumbest thread of the year So fun to go back and read what the experts said It's no harm. Federal Hocking and Belpre fans haven't had much to cheer about for any team on any level for awhile. They had a team to get behind this season, and that isn't a bad thing. Which is ...

The D4 game is at a terrible time for me to get there, so I may just stay home until Saturday.

The semis were pretty good across the board, so hopefully the finals will be the same way.

One game that wasn’t close in the 6 games…I know they were played at two different locations, but how great would those (and the other really good semis) have been at one location?

Re: Montgomery and Kayser the best duo in southeast ohio

Yes they were. I'm not trying to come across as the Minford guys aren't good, but we are talking duo's that were just better imo. No offense to Minford, but the Ironton team from 05 was far better than Minford. They gave OJ Mayo and Bill Walker all they could handle in the title game. Waginger is t...

Found some other outstanding performances 2006 Nick Aldridge had 34 in the title game for South Webster 2008 Ray Chambers with 31/17 for Chillicothe in the Semi’s Camden Miller and Clifford Howard each had huge games, as did Trey Fletcher. Always good to find some of those in the years after, even t...

11 for 17 was the difference and Minford shot well from 3, but that 11 for 17 opened up the driving lanes for LE Like Coach Shoemaker said to me after the game, they had to give up something and based off of what they had seen on film, LE didn’t look capable of knocking down 50% or better from deep...
