I know exactly what you mean about travel time..We travel 1hr:45minutes to go to practice and practice for an 1hr 1/2 its hard to do sometimes ecspecially twice a week uggh....actually RIO is only about 50 min, for us this winter so we are enjoying traveling the least amount for a change.

there is no uniforms ever in Rio League....the girls will get a shirt on the last game or mailed in the mail after season that says Rio Grande SB,,thats it as far as unis go.... we do Rio every year...I agree there isn't much there..BUT, it is a chance to see live pitching and touch a ball every Sunday within a cpl hrs of home....

My dd is a catcher. She met Regina this year at the undergrad tourney and just loved the few players and parents that she met. We are used to traveling far for our travelin teams.

I do understand with teams in the tourney still, lets not disturb their unity, but I still do not agree with not letting the public at least know when and where the game is scheduled for.

I think that all players should know by now from there coaches, if they have earned any honors or not. Ecspecially since the District game and undergrad tryouts are Sunday. But as far as the papers go and such, from what I understand nothing is posted in the media until all the teams are out of tour...
