Re: Region 19...who wins and why?

I understand your bias to your local teams but only one school from the SOC has made it to the state semis in the last 10 years.

I do not think with there schedule there is not even a remote chance of that being possible. But if there was ever a region that it could happen it would be 5-19.

Re: region 12, region 15, region 19 after week 3

1st level points are fixed by division 6.0 d1 5.5 d2 5.0 d3 4.5 d4 4.0 d5 3.5 d6 So if you play a d3 school and beat them you get 5.0 first level points. You get nothing for a loss. So as an example, Ridgewood played two D5 schools and one d4, they won all three games so 4+4+4.5 = 12.5 first level. ...

Re: region 12, region 15, region 19 after week 3

first level points divided by weeks played . second level divide by 10 (Or 9.9- 9.8 ect. if club teams are played,)then add the two together. So Ridgewood as an example: Week 3 First level 12.5 divided by 3 = 4.166 Second level 21 divided by 10= 2.100 add the two together = 6.266 kvnchambers , if yo...

Where did Sadie74 go? Stats don't lie !! stats dont lie to a point. those champs didnt have to pass to win. that just tells you what kind of D was out there. also West isnt gonna have that stud running back there this year. They wont have a choice but to be more balanced. what happens when you run ...

Re: Does any school have a chance

What scares me for the se ohio teams in region 19 is that, there may be at most 3 or 4 that make it to the playoffs now. Last year 2 teams north of I70 made it, now there could be 4-5 or more. That makes it VERY difficult for a very good Wheelersburg team or a very good Nelsonville-York team to get...

Re: Ohio Schools Vote 'No' On Playoff Reform

Yes I believe they limit enrollment. I'm curious how many of the private school give athletic scholarships? What's the rules on those? None, That is the problem. It only takes a couple of rich boosters to enable a private to recruit the finest talent in the area. And they do not call them "ath...

The longest possible trip is Coal Grove to Rittman. 230 miles 4 to 4 1/2 hours and the quickest route is through Columbus. Rittman is 16 miles SW from Akron

Re: New Div Breakdowns for 2011-2012 & Schools in each Regio

I would say its political, not corruption when it comes to 5-19. Every D5 team from the Wayne county league was placed in 5-19 instead of there normal 5-17 home. Call this the "Ursuline "problem. As you may recall, it is the Wayne County supers who started the latest uproar over disparity ...

Re: Division 5 Region 19 in 2010

You are correct selmonc, If Minford beats Valley they are in...somewhere from 3 spot to 5 spot. unless either Burg, York or Coal Grove lose, Ridgewood will be 7 Monroe 8. Looks like a rematch of the Regional title in the 1st round as well as Monroe at Oak hill. The rest could vary depending on alot...

There was over 5,000 people at the game, It is a fine stadium, just not big enough to handle that size crowd.

Well to whoever wins this game thanks for playing because youre going to get either Coldwater or Ursuline next!Good luck with that! Very true, but that 5-19 regional championship trophy sure would look good sitting in the trophy case. Ursuline is a DI or DII athletic school masquerading in DV . If ...
