Re: 2018 Enrollment Numbers
Dude... it will be Summit vs. Desales in a stunner! Have the crow cooked and ready if I'm wrong. And yeah I know all about the "Invite only best teams in the country showcase" held in NJ each year. Typically the only L notch you'll see on Summit's schedule. Haven't been called Dude in a l...

Re: 2018 Enrollment Numbers
Can't wait to see the D2 showdown between Summit and DeSales. That may not happen as they will have to face Alter and/or Indian Hill at some point before DeSales. Also understand that they (SCD) play one of the top teams in the country every year (St. Benedict Prep out of New Jersey) and compete ve...

Re: Boys DIII State Semifinals
Final was 3-2, according to OHSAA bracket. From another forum, the AR signaled for an offside on the last goal. I wasn't there so I have no idea.

Re: OSSCA Poll 9/11/17
Lol ossca had some major issues the first 2 weeks of the poll. Teams were all over and many were wrong. Or teams that didn't even have soccer. And 4th, some coaches probably had seen them in the summer or just knew about them and knew they were a good team, and they were right No major issues in D3...

Re: OSSCA Poll 9/11/17
I just saw this.
They are D2 in both girls and boys soccer. Not sure why they are showing in D1 Poll though.

Re: Bracket Question....
If I had a player down, he simply wouldn't play that first round game anyway.
I would only do this, if in fact we didn't play much the last week of the season.

Re: Bracket Question....
Beauty of SEOPs is someone has the answer. Still not sure why you want the extra game early as injury is always a concern. Strange things happen. If I play my last regular season game say Tuesday, Wednesday of the last week of the season, I'd take the first round game to get my kids ready for later...

Re: OSSCA Poll 10/9/17
1. Each district (there are 10 districts in the state) is asked to provide one voting representative per division per gender. 2. Each district is permitted to nominate up to 3 teams per division per gender for top ten consideration. a. Each district determines how the top three teams will be selecte...

Yes only 3 divisions. And it will be that way for a long time. Will need approximately 200 more boys teams and approximately 240 girls teams before a 4th division is created.

Re: Enrollment Numbers
I don't disagree with you, but just for debate, you said there is 1 division of boys that could be impacted by this and the D3 girls could also be impacted by this. That makes 2 out of the 6 overall division for soccer which could be impacted by the CB changes. That seems a little more substantial ...

Re: Enrollment Numbers
OK, so 20 teams out 571 (based on last years tournament count)? That is what, about 3.5% of the teams that it affected. Serious waste of effort for 1 change (in boys soccer that I am aware of) that may/may not have an impact on a private winning a State Title.

Re: Enrollment Numbers
I counted only 11 Boys Soccer teams affected by the CB in the State.
Probably the biggest move up (in terms of history) was D2 Dayton Carroll going to D1. They will still be competitive, maybe not win a championship but should be competitive with everyone.

Looks like cutoff to D2 was 199.
Summit is still D3.

Re: Enrollment Numbers
To my knowledge there is nothing like this. I believe there was something proposed to adjust teams enrollment based on a "historical factor" in the early stages of the process, but that proposal failed. The new count has their enrollment at 154 boys and 146 girls. IF they would have a hig...

Re: Regular Season OT
I agree with rxburgfan, with the boys/girls (or jv/var) doubleheaders that happen, really not enough time in the day to get the games in. We are getting back between 10:30 and 11:00 on a school night from a few games every year. Can't see adding time to any game during the season.

Summit may actually have quite a few, I don't know.
I doubt that Alter (Kettering-D2) won't add many as most actually attend feeder school.
