Re: western vs. clay at clay 2-7-11

The girls game and seventh grade boys game were both competitive and won legitimtely by clay. The eighth grade game was a total travesty. In the stands we were taking bets as to what year the older ref graduated from clay. My guess was 1948. It is fitting that in the last game in that gym the away ...

Re: western vs. clay at clay 2-7-11

What a game! Hurt was on fire with his 26 points. It was amazing to watch Hurt rebound the ball and go coast to coast and had several steals. Phillips had a couple of 3 pointers. The new kid Aaron Phipps was very aggressive and forced several turnovers. M. Smith had to have around 6-8 points. Lewis ...

Re: Clay VS New Boston 1/25/09 7th grade game

New Boston has some tall boys on their team. I think if Hines and Wallburn can post up then they can score under the boards and on the other end defend the basket. M. Smith is getting some real height on his rebounding and is starting to score well. Swayne is coming into his own and starting to real...

Re: S.O.C. I coaches

I agree with you Rebel about one thing biddy ball coaches, they need to be THANKED!!! They volunteer to help and spend loads of time with these kids. Where I differ with you is that some coaches put all their eggs in one kid. This one kid had the skill and was probably at that time the only kid that...

Re: WAKE UP WESTSIDE!

I don't understand WHY schools don't recgonize biddy ball programs. Do these ADs think these kids hit junior high and know how to play?? Support these biddy ball programs!!! They are your FUTURE players!!

Re: Thoughts on Clay 7th & 8th Grade Vs. Green 7th & 8th Grade

I agree with you Rosemount rebel. The 7th grade team from watching a few of their games this year seem to play well with each other and are a good group of kids. I like watching these boys play. Phillips and Phipps can push the ball up the floor and pressure the other teams point guards well. I went...

Re: Clay @ New Boston 1/11/10

Both 8th grade teams played very well. The 8th grade girls won and worked very well together. The boys had a very good game with a 58-27 win. Hafer, Schmidt had an excellent night under the boards. Both rebounded very well and blocked several lay-ups. I would say those two were the top scorers. Evan...
