Re: 2010 Piketon Relay Meet

I know it is the first meet of the season for these teams, but should there be a favorite in this relay meet? I would imagine that Unioto should win impressively in the distance relays, but what of the more faster relays. Any thoughts?

Okay. I know that the meet is scheduled for March 27, 2010. I believe that falls on a Saturday. What all teams will be attending this meet?

Re: SVC POY !

It is rather humorous hearing all these discussions. The way my dad brought me up was very simple when it came to sports. You can post all the stats you want and be the best player on a team. But nobody wants to be the player on a losing team. And if you want to know who is better, then let the 2 ki...

SVC Junior High Girls

Does anyone know who will be returning this year or who is coming up? Also, if anyone has any favorites that should win the league, please inform me. And is there a favorite to win the league in a specific event, such as the 400 or a field event?

Re: Piketon @ Westfall

Well fire the so called coaches and hire someone that will bring some pride back to Piketon football and I would say the fans will be much less colorful with the language towards the coaches. Scott Keller that mans a ball coach take a lesson from Westfall they know how to hire coaches.

Re: Oak Hill D2 District

A Big Congrats goes out to Coach Greg Shepherd of Piketon on his teams performance on becoming both 2009 District Track and Field Champions and also being recognized as the 2009 District Track and Field Coach Of The Year. Also, congrats goes to his sprinter Keiffer Reed on receiving the honor of bei...

But what about the Crawford kid in 2nd were did that come from it was a blessing Piketon took 1,2 that was unexpected points in the race for the SVC title.

Re: Scioto Valley Conference Predictions

I heard that Piketon won't load up there 4x2 team, so that they can utilize their athletes to get more points, so Southeastern or Unioto will win that race. And I agree with you vchoops, Unioto's depth may be the difference in the meet. I believe that the McClain kid from Westfall will win the 400. ...

Re: Jesse Owens High School Invite May 9th

I believe that Coach Shepherd will bring up Southworth in just the 300 Hurdles, Tackett in the 100 meter dash, Reed in the 200 meter dash, and both Moore and Crawford in the Shot and Discus. Miller I think is running the open 400. Tackett is also long jumping and I am not for sure about their distan...

Re: Top SVC throwers?

My eyes may have been playing tricks on me, but I was down at Valley for a small quad meet yesterday and I saw Mr. Moore SPINNING in the shot put? Does anyone know how he did? I am sure that he didn't beat Crabtree from Valley, but how far did Ricky throw the shot and disc?

Re: Scioto Valley Conference Predictions

I still can't decide on whether Piketon or Unioto will win the league. I am well aware of Unioto's VERY strong distance group. I believe they will win every distance relay and distance race from 800 meters and up. However, Piketon seems to be the opposite. Distance group is average at best, but all ...

Re: Oak Hill Invitational

That is not good news for the young sprinter. I remember last year when Justin Hoffman was the favorite in the SVC in all the sprints, and he pulled his hamstring during his indoor season. He was still able to run later on, but he was not the same sprinter that he previously was. Best of luck goes o...

Re: Top SVC throwers?

Moore from Piketon went 146-5 in the discus at the Raidiger Invitational in terrible conditions and won. He also went 45 something in shot and took a solid second. Who else could challange Mr. Moore in the discus? I still believe that the shot is wide open.

Why is Jon Royster from Portsmouth not on here? Did his coaches rest him up instead? Kid was like lightening in a bottle last year.

Scioto Valley Conference Predictions

What is everyone's predictions on not only what team will win the title this year, but what athletes will win each event? I still can't decide between Unioto and Piketon for the title. I am confident that the Ross kid will win in the 1600 and 3200 at the league meet. Piketon's Southworth (Dale Storm...
