Re: meigs new hire

I don't know, who will be hired, but Coach Kight is one of the hard working coaches with the drive to inspire players to better themselves. He has what it takes to lead a team. I'm pulling for Kight.

Ironman, I'm guessing Norm to Wellston.
Just a stab at a big move.

Re: Fairfield (8-9) #5 vs. Clay (11-8) #4 @ Valley HS 3/1

From what I have seen, if Clay wants to run, they will be running back to get the ball out of the net, then attempt to break the press again. Not a good cycle to be in.

Re: Southeast District D4 Rankings 2-9-11

Bet Manchester is 2. (in the sectional draw)
There has to be several coaches that are a 5-7 seed candidate. I would think that those coaches would rather take their chances with Manchester as the two. I will have to take a better look at the bracket and teams.

Re: High School Baseball 2011

I got the chance to work a couple of SOC games last season and was very impressed with Green. I would agree that Symmes Valley and Notre Dame are the teams to beat in that Conference, but Green is definitely a strong contender.

I'll stick with the boys in purple. Well White anyway. Miller is getting things turned around, should be a barn burner, though.

Re: Miami Heat At Cleveland Cavs TONIGHT

And by King I am guessing that you are referring to Peyton Hillis. LeBron may be the best basketball player of all time, by the end of his career. A career that I have followed since I went to watch Maverick Carter, and LeBron stole the show. I miss watching him, and I am not over it yet, but I have...

Re: Miami Heat At Cleveland Cavs TONIGHT

Finally, it is Friday and Cavs fans can turn their attention towards Minnesota. The people who enjoy drama will have to find a new topic or pick on the leftovers from last night. Our team was overmatched lastnight, and after a fast start failed to hit shots. Lets hope for a better showing on Sat. ON...

Re: Miami Heat At Cleveland Cavs TONIGHT

As a life long Cleveland sports fan, I have become accustomed to casual rude comments about all the teams and the city. I have learned that most of the comments come from people that have not experienced Cleveland the way I have. I do believe that everyone is entitled to share an opinion, and it is ...

Re: MVL 2010-2011

Thank you for the update. I always try to keep up with the MVL. I look for Tri-Valley to bring home the Trophy this season. Just an early, thought. A thought mostly based on what Coach has done in the past. However, I am aware that almost all the coaches are top notch, and players will determine the...

Re: SOC I 2010-11

The height of basketball players has been inconsistent for years. When I was in school we got are physicals done at school (usually) with are shoes on. Some coaches go by what the physicals say, others go by what they think or see, and some go by what the kid actually tells them. Bottom line is alm...

How can every kid in the stands have a phone with a camera and still no pictures. I should be able to count the butt zits. At least he left with no dignity. I was always told to leave it all out there, I guess he took it litteral. "No need to bury me upside down, I will confront my critics in t...

Re: SOC I 10-11

I agree with "the player" post play is not a height specific position. It is a footwork position. Those that master the art of the seal, pivot, and finish can creatively score in the paint. However, with a significant height advantage a player can still be effective without proper footwork...

Re: Who will be the new Peebles coach?

If your opinion of a system is based on what you read on SEOP, then I would guess all systems have friction. There are volcanos all around. Some may seem dormant, but are always building. To define a Rare Southern Ohio hill from a volcano you have to look at eras not just snapshots in time. I hope ...
