Re: Zimmerman Trial
I'd say it's impossible to say until the prosecution puts on its proofs, and the defense presents its case. How anyone could remotely have a definitive opinion right now is beyond me. Based on what? The articles we've read in the newspaper, which invariably provide their own hidden or obvious biases...

Re: Explosion at Boston Marathon....
And I can't believe that of all the things to be upset about regarding this massacre is that the NRA has been victimized yet again by the evil media. The least sympathetic outfit out there gets your sympathies. Strange priorities.

Re: Movies you have recently watched.
That's the one CB. Strange movie. Weaver's character had a million oppurtunities to get out of the whole situation. I'm pretty sure his Plymouth Valiant, although a turd on wheels, could have easily outrun the truck.

Re: Movies you have recently watched.
Not sure if anyone has ever seen this movie from 1972, but this past weekend I watched Duel with Dennis Weaver. It was a free movie On Demand, hadn't seennit in years, and thought what the hell. Thought it was pretty good, and has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Re: Mass stabbing in Texas
Let me preface my response by saying I'm a gun owner myself, and I wouldn't appreciate the government telling me I have to give them up. Having said that TC, I think the "where is the liberal rage" argument doesn't work. I suppose the response would be "can you imagine the harm he cou...

Re: Toilet paper or baby wipes
I'll take them all back. To me, the issue has always been about personal attacks on other board members. They are entitled to their own opinions. Personally attacking a politician, elitists etc...is fair game, unless they become board members. I think that's where some get confused. Here, here. I s...

Then I started watching each show as it was came on tv. 4 shows left for this season then season 4 is already scheduled for ne...

Re: Deficit = not a problem
I'm not sure what you 2 are arguing about. CBO has released figures to show the budget deficit is dropping and will be below One trillion S soon. First time in 4 years. Everyone acknowledges SS is an easy fix. Health care is harder to do but doable. Notice that R governors even in Red states are cl...

Re: The Code Of Life - DNA
Lol, yeah, right Mortimer. Two quick points: 1. Anyone who walks around claiming their IQ is between 135 and 150 has probably omitted a decimal point in their somewhere . . . after the 13 or the 15; and 2. Anyone who believes what this lady is propounding can't possibly have an IQ higher than a bord...

A little embarrassed to say, but I bit and watched this. All I can say is wow, she just managed to knock several IQ points off anyone unlucky enough to listen to this, including me and the poor fools in the audience. I only hope they didn't have to pay good money to be sold this bill of goods. Sorr...

Re: Creation - Building One Lie On The Other
The scientific theories are hardly caving in. They continued to be bolstered by the kind of work being done at CERN and other labs. The evidence keeps piling up. If I took the time to create an infinite universe using all sorts of exotic matter and complex laws of physics and quantum mechanics, and ...

It's just the cost of doing business in interstate commerce. Once you engage in it, you've subjected yourself to equal protection laws, just like everyone else.

Re: Creation - Building One Lie On The Other
But I did. I said that string theory will resolve the "outlandish" concepts that Mr. Hebert raises. For example, multi level universes that collide creating new universes. String theory is a promising explanation for that. But don't get me wrong Kantucky, I don't believe that string theory...

Re: Creation - Building One Lie On The Other
The ICR obviously has an agenda, and it drives their research. While I'm not sure, I would strongly suspect that the research protocol goes something like this: here is the result we want, now go massage the data to make it so. Whereas conventional scientists make conclusions on the data that they o...

Funny article. Re: Boy Scouts May Soon Welcome Gay Scouts and Leaders
The girls father would have him kicked out of school if he did that. And he would never teach again. A girl's father would have received a phone call from the counselor following her initial conversation with me. I am not qualified to give that type of guidance for a student. You do better on posti...

Re: Boy Scouts May Soon Welcome Gay Scouts and Leaders
I pray everyday to God that we can turn our country around. I pray for our transgressions as a nation that we have fallen into the abyss with very few of us calling on God for assistance to pull us out of the deep hole. I sin everyday. I sin every hour of the day. Yet, I pray that he will forgive m...
