Re: Best 4th-6th grade girls basketball players
Definitely know the Daniels girl is tough..When a 4th grader goes coast to coast with the left hand and shoots with the left hand, plus very unselfish, great passer off the dribble..The other girls on this list are good also..

Black@Orange, you are not the only biddy ball program that experiences this problem..Alot of schools do not acknowledge biddy ball programs as part of the school athletics, even though those programs are developing the kids for that school..I have had to go to rent gyms during holidays or to get ext...

Re: S.O.C. I coaches
bad thing to do really, it becomes a popularity contest, also does the coach have talent? does he get the most out of that talent? If he doesn't have talent, does he still make his team competitive? A good coach will always make his team competitive, he will find a way to help/make his team competit...

Re: JR. HIGH BASKETBALL SCORES
yes it is ten days only, other states they are allowed to play together once season ends to the season begins..When we are at tourny in Chicago they said that they used their offseaon to develop the skills and run offenses that the jr. high and high school programs want..and that we are the only sta...

Re: JR. HIGH BASKETBALL SCORES
Not to get away from the subject of scores, but Ohio is one of a VERY FEW states doesn't allow teams to play together during offseason, when you go to other states they don't have that rule, alot of other areas use off season to develop their player for the Jr High and High School level..

Re: South Webster vs Minford 12/10
Great job Minford, Great win for Coach Chaney...him and the girls needed it..I agree with 101, Minford needs to spread the floor more..take advantage of what they have, utilizing Justice of pick and rolls plays with girls spotting up or cutting to the bucket...More kids involved and will help negate...

Re: South Webster vs Minford 12/10
Agree with Lady Oaks Fan, if Minford can contain Cook, you wont stop her but you have to limit her opportunities and make other girls step up then Minford can win! Right now SW has the common problem most teams with one tough player has, someone else has to step up..Minford needs to become more aggr...

Coach Gambill did coach with justice and he will be just as committed, doesn't like to lose and very competitive and will do a great job with the kids, look out for the Fultz kid, he didn't get off the bench last year, but should have, good shooter and worked on his defense and some more moves this ...

Re: Jr. High basketball programs
Jackson 8th grade is a good team, they have a great shooter in Ridout, she is still there correct? and Poe in the middle, they will definitely be a good scrimmage for Minford, better not play zone against Ridout, she will light em up about 2 ft behind the 3 pt line..and as far as winning the state, ...

Re: Jr. High basketball programs
Minfords 8th grade will be tough, and who is there for the girls ironmen? Haleigh Haas played for the magic, a good defender and all out hustler..but who else? We scrimmaged them last year, and our 8th grade beat them...Minford 8th girls beat about everyone pretty good...Good luck to all the teams,

Re: SOC 2: Early Predictions?
I agree about Oak Hill, they are the team to beat...but after that I believe it is a toss up..Chaney has his system there for the second straight year, it will depend on how this years jr's play out and who has truly worked on their game...Valley will be there they had that good freshman last year, ...
