Re: Best Pitchers in the area
Farmer is good,no doubt. Thackston from Fairland is good too! Two of the best I have seen. Farmer can bring the heat, Thackston being a lefty has speed and some junk too. I watched him throw no hitter against Adena last year and he was untouchable. I seen farmer pitch and he can definately play at n...

OVC top teams for this year
Fairland and rock hill seems to be going favorite this year. Both teams have quality starters coming back but I give the edge to Fairland with Thackston returning. I seen him throw this summer in Ashland and he was clocked at 87. Might be the areas best pitcher. Rock Hill has some good talent and wi...

Re: Fairland 1-0 over Adena.
Don't think Adena was expecting that from Fairland. Adena pitcher was very good also. Thackston was a little better. Campbell should be congratulated for a clutch hit. Coach ward and his staff has his team going in right direction.

Rx burg,
What are you the thread police? Get a grip. I ask the question about fairland on their schedule? Maybe we will see you at the fairland-burg game and then you can comment about it.

Re: Wheelersburg Baseball 2011
Fairland pulled starters inthat game,I was told after four innings and was winning 3-1. Thackston pitched well and he gave up 1 hit and one run. They pulled starters and put in jv kids in after that and greenup kept alot of thier starters in. Greenup co dad was saying. Greenup lost alot of seniors a...

Re: High School Baseball 2011
Fairland lost two outfielders Legio!! Are you kidding me? They return seven starters and swept South Point last year. They have the two best pitchers in the league with Thackston and Fisher. They should win the ovc by a wide margin and I dont see anyone getting close to them.

Re: Infield fly rule
Pioneer, again you are missing the point. If the Wayne coach wouldnt have crossed the line ON THE FIELD with his comments this wouldnt have happened. The umpire, yes, should have kept his mouth shut but you have yet to talk about what your COACH said about the umpire being an idiot and being stuck in ...

Re: Infield fly rule
I still cant get over calling the ovc a busch league after getting beat twice by Fairland. Who does he think he is. Wayne's coach argued a good point on the infield fly rule but after saying that about the busch league,he deserved to get tossed. Now, for what happened in the parking lot, the umpire ...

Re: Infield fly rule
Nice on getting the way the rule is supposed to be called. I was there and I say it was completely a judgement call. The wind caused a player to struggle with it and it landed in the outfield because the right fielder played it off the ground. The Coach from Wv was completely out of bounds for telli...

Re: Fairland beats Rock Hill in 9 innings 1-0
Malone threw extremely well. He only gave up three hits, which were all bunts. Fairland's bats are going to have to step it up to win this conference. They cant rely on Thackston and Fisher to keep carrying them. Coach Ward and his staff are working the players really hard.
