Re: D2 District Semifinal 3/4: Unioto (15-5) at Logan Elm (16-1)
Even though Logan Elm may have the more talented team I think Unioto matches up well with them. I think they can defend against Chalfin, Weitelman, and Sailor well so I will give them the edge in those matchups. What I think this game comes down to is controlling the penetration of Ward. He is the ...

Re: SVC 2020/2021 🏀🏀🏀
I’m going to jump in on this one and admit I did not watch the first half...but...many of the free throws came as a result of fouling in the fourth quarter to extend game(nunnemaker hit several). Dani Cali said it perfectly..Westfall outplayed Unioto last night regardless of the refs. What I saw was...

Watching from the outside I think it’s a two horse race for POY. Whomever wins the league will likely be POY...Little or Bennett. If there is a tie for the league it’s a split even though I hate how our league just doesn’t vote it out. Both players are deserving.

Circleville way too big, way to Skilled, way better. Looks like a final four team.

Re: (5) Waverly vs. (8) Warren Sat. 2/29
I like Waverly to break through and win this one. Beating a very good Unioto team and doing it playing Uniotos tempo was very impressive. I think point guard play is more important than anything in tournament action and Trey is the real deal. I will take Waverly by 8 and moving on to play LE.

LE wins this I believe. I think Athens best Chance is mixing their zone and hoping LE is not hitting. LE 61-49.

ZT by 10 but it’s hard not to root for Adena with all they have delt with. Good luck to both teams.

Re: D3 District - Fairland vs. South Point
I don’t know much about South Point but seeing Fairland on film and against Westfall I think a deep run in the tournament is about a year away. They have all the pieces for a great team but think a year of physicality and maturity will really help them go deeper. Westfall was able to dictate the gam...

Pretty good effort by the Mustangs tonight. Going into the 4th it was a 5 point game. Fairland big man took over and caused troubles inside and out. Good season for the Mustangs.

Re: 2/26 Circleville (24-0) v Vinton County (19-5)
Circleville defense is the difference in this game. They will not allow the up and down game Vinton likes. Vinton in the half court will have problems scoring. I’ll take cville by 14.

Re: 2/26 Circleville (24-0) v Vinton County (19-5)
Circleville wins this handily. Their bigs will eliminate VC size and their guards are physical and athletic. They bring a girl off the bench that can shut down any guard she plays. And I’m fairly certain their schedule is as tough enough. They beat Tri-Valley and ripped through the Mid-State league....

Re: 2020 SVC POY
This stuff happens every year in every sport. It’s not new or unique this year. If you are anywhere on the list then it’s a great accomplishment. It doesn’t diminish anything the kids have done or how anyone perceives what type a player they are. I have been inside those voting rooms. If you are dep...

Re: (4) Unioto vs (5) Waverly Sat 2/22
I can’t pick against Unioto. Their team mentality just keeps paying dividends. I would expect another very physical game(tournament games are always physical) and I like Unioto’s discipline on both sides to win out. I was impressed in the Hillsboro game with Lambert as he continues to be an X factor...

Re: 2020 SVC POY
This is hilarious. People all butt hurt over 5 kids' names. Ill hold off on the other 10 and the special mention ones as well. Sad. I was answering your question. You asked why people don’t want the names released. That is the reason. You may think it’s dumb but that is the reason the league does i...

Re: 2020 SVC POY
The league releases the names in the media on Wednesday I believe. Coaches are told to make sure lists are private until then. Plus, some kids may not find out until later in the day. It gives their coaches a chance to speak to them first.

Well if your correct then I’m sure the league will vote him that way. They usually get it right from what I have seen. After all, they are the experts and we are the fans from the sidelines. And...I would expect you would take him, that’s what Dads are supposed to do, support their kids. Good luck t...

Re: 2020 SVC POY
I think almost everyone could not get on board with Unioto winning this many games because in the past they have been driven by high powered offense and athletes. For Hoops to flip the switch this year and make the teams identity defensive is imo his best coaching job yet. I ha e seen them 5 times t...
