Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Wellston Lady Rockets captured the 1st Sectional Title in school history tonight. If my information is correct, that is a major accomplishment for the young ladies! My nephew is playing in a JR High tournament at Wellston this year.

I heard that Wellston was to play Ohio Valley to open the classic. I heard that Jackson plays Teays Valley (from up around Ashville, right?).

I believe Wellston has opened up the classic in the past. Jackson is slated to be there as well. I haven't heard if there will be any Oak Hill Academy-type teams this year.

Who's playing tonight?

There were 4 games in Wellston on Saturday. Three boys games (all won by the Rockets), and the girls contest was won by the Irionladies. It was a great evening that raised tons of money for St. Jude's hospital. Great to see the local community support a great cause.

Another exciting hoops season is underway. I was just curious if SEOPsters knew which schools do/do not have freshman teams. Please list all teams you are aware of. Thanks!

The Wellston Community Sports Association will be holding a 3-4 & 5-6 boys tournaments March 10-11. Reduced entry fees for bringing multiple teams from the same organization. Contact Scot @ 7404188632 for details. Hope to see lots of youngsters out to compete.

Does anybody have any leads on 4th grade boys biddy league tournaments? Looking for one on the weekend of Feb 25/26 and/or Mar 3/4. We're in the Wellston tourney on Mar 10/11. Thanks!
