I heard that Eastern is playing tonight in Chillicothe. If so, who do they play?

For Manchester, I believe this is their new staff:

Varsity Coach- Aaron Lockhart
JV Coach- Josh Reaves
Assistant Coach- Roger Dean

8th Grade Coach- Sean Inman
Jr. High Assistant- Billy Welch


I don't think they have enough kids for a 7th grade team or a freshman team.

Can anyone give the dates and a schedule for each event that they know about? When does the Valley, Burg and the traveling league start?

With the first day that coaches can start their 10 coaching days tomorrow, where are some of the camps, shootouts and leagues that we will find some of our local teams? Who are the teams to watch? Besides Dylan Hanson, I look for Blake Blevins to have a great year. This kid was consistent for the Greyhounds last year. The other player I see stepping up for them in the scoring will be sophmore Travis Combs. This kid can shoot and will only get better!

I look for them to be a very uptempo team and to press the entire game. Like what others have said, they are going to be small but they will be very quick. I think that the league will come down to them and Manchester. Ripley will be good as will NA and Eastern but overall, Peebles and Manchester.

Hounds- I look for Manchester to once again be at the top of the SHL. I see them and Peebles battling for the whole league. They return some key players and have a great young group coming up. Whiteoak made it in Div. 4 the same year Eastern Brown did, I believe 2002. They lost in the semi-final game.

Sparky, I am not sure, from what I have read on this site and others, parents are not happy with the coach, or at least they dont act like it at games. I have also read that the school board supports the coach, so it is hard to tell what will happen in Whiteoak. Hopefully they will all stay, support...

This will be a great game, no 20 point margin game. I look for Meigs' press to bother Western. Meigs needs to find a way to stop Shanks and Smithson. Western cant just play in the 4th and OT and keep winning as they did lastnight, they will have to play all 4 quarters. Good luck to both teams!
