Re: Who will win the T.V.C Hocking this year??

The TVC Hocking is Federals to lose! They will field an extremely talented group of young men this spring including the entire pitching staff from last year. This is a special senior class, and the jr's and soph's are solid also. I was told that the freshman Ryan Rex is a fine baseball player and wi...

WOW, what a great perimeter shooting team the "peake" is. By far the best we saw all year. A very solid basketball team and best of luck at the district. To the seniors who've played their last game at FH - Gentlemen, it's been a pleasure to watch and the best of luck in future endeavours....

Rooting for this FH team will take years off of your life. They seem to play up (or down) to whoever they face. This River Valley team was by no means the worst we've seen all year (that would be Jay Klines NY Buckeyes) but they sort of resembled the bad news bears and we let them hang around. We ha...

Someone stated, "Cunningham didn't play well either." That's because he was too busy being a student; Dut took him to school! GO VIKES Fed Hocks Corey Vales eat him up also. A question for the Waterford fans. Why hasn't your coach benched this kid? Or has he? Obviously, he has some given ...

Eastern would've beaten FH last night if Jay Kline was their coach. Nelsonville York would've beaten FH if the talent differential wasn't so big. Something's going on here. We've either got a "man crush" or somebody really wants Jay Kline out of the Nelsontuckey? You aren't Dave Jr are yo...

On the Hocking side, it's not fair to say Vales is better than Howie. This is Bob Vales first season as a head coach. Caldwell was coaching teams to the state championship game when a lot of current head coaches were in high school. Howie does an excellent job of playing the cards he's dealt. Bob Va...

FH - 2008/2009

I know this year isn't in the books yet, but I was discussing the future of Fed Hock roundball with a co-worker and he asked about it and I really didn't know what to tell him. We've had a nice string of talent come through the system the last few years and have pretty much been able to just re-load...

Grant Smith is a fine player and will be our "go to man" next year, but hasn't been much of a factor since he got hurt a month ago. Jared Gandee (a senior), is probably more deserving as he literally took over the 4th Q of our away game at Alexander (to complement Corey Vales) and has been...

If FH plays with the same level of intensity that they showed last night @ Miller, this game will be close. Miller was down for the count in the 2nd quarter and they let em' up. At one point late in the game, FH had 3 fouls in 3 seconds. Howie is a great coach and by this time of year, freshman are ...

Road wins are tough. Especially in Perry or Meigs County. As the Giants proved again last night, the team that's supposed to win often doesn't. Especially at the high school level. We lost to a very mediocre Meigs team last month down there and got a key player injured in the process. I wish coach V...

Best game of the year for FH. After the close wins the past few weeks I was concerned. We seem to play up (or down) to our level of competition. Coach Vales has done a fine job with this bunch. For a first year head coach, he has been spectacular. Waterford held a significant size advantage inside b...

Justin Stanley will not play for Fed Hock tomorrow. Should be back in a week or so. He didn't play much in the first game but has contributed nicely the last several weeks, especially in the paint.

We played our best game of the year at Waterford. We're going to have to 1-up that to stay unbeaten in the TVC Hocking. Justin Stanley tweaked his ankle again last night against Southern. It will be critical that he's ready to go on Friday. He didn't play much in the first game and we got hammered o...
