I agree that Butcher is a good player, who can make plays and plays hard, and if she were just a little taller I think she could pass up King. I mean you just can't teach height though.

it is good that waterford is playing teams from the upper divisions, that way they will be more prepared when it comes tournament time. but if the lady cats would have made there layups and 2ft putbacks this matchup may have ended differently. but congrats to Jess Drayer for passing the 1000 pt mark...

I look forward to watching how the Trimble/Eastern games turn out. It would be nice to watch that matchup on a neutral court but thats just wishful thinking I guess

I believe for the TVC Hocking the Champs for the past few yrs went:
02-03 Waterford
03-04 Waterford, Trimble
04-05 Waterford
05-06 Waterford
06-07 Waterford
07-08 Waterford
(I know that the widcats have won the TVC 5 out of the last 6 yrs)

i agree that anything can happen. I saw federal hocking play last yr and they are a solid ball team. but you have to admit that the odds are looking in favor of waterford. but like i said i agree with you...it's high school basketball.

It is great to have such confidence in the girls at waterford, I myself have watched this program improve over the yrs, but are you serious about no one in the conference being able to take a starting spot away from some of those girls? is this a serious question? sina king is BY FAR the best player in the tvc, there is no question. she was a first team all ohio as a sophomore, not to mention the tvc player of the yr. jessi drayer and iris butcher are in the running for second

i think that we will see an improvements from trimble this yr...but you have to remember that it can take a few season for a new coach to get a program going. just give them a little time

and does anyone know if drayer or brown are playing college ball anywhere? i'm sure king has been getting some D1 looks too...
