Re: Week 5 Waverly @ Ashland Blazer
I thought the handoffs in the final seconds against Wellston were bad too- as I stated earlier- however, the broken leg was not a result of those runs and we should put that in the past, both the fans and the coaches- as always I support the coaches and they have been dealt a horrible setback and n...

Re: Week 5 Waverly @ Ashland Blazer
Didnt the Malone kid miss a large part of last season due to an injury? Hate to see that happen. Especially 2 years in a row. Good luck to him on a speedy recovery. No, Malone didn't miss a large part of the season, that was Kretzer, it was a misconception by a few. He is an awesome athlete, #17 in...

Re: waverly football 2009
fbone, Read this article: m "Malone returns at tailback after missing six games to injury last season and Price will be out wide for Roback." Where did the writer of this article get his information if it's incorrect? Why are you asking me? I am not the author of that article, thats not m...

Re: Kevin Malone!!! From the Waverly Tigers!!!
Congratulations to Kevin Malone, they didn't call him "the jet" for nothing in his soph. and freshman years! Can't wait to see what he will pull out of his hat this year!!!!

Re: waverly football 2009
They did not rely only on Roback last season. Malone missed half the season to injury and many pass plays were called that ended in Roback running fo his life. Those ended up being a Roback run in the stats. People who were not at the games have no clue what they're talking about when they say Wave...

Re: waverly football 2009
Waverly should be improved from last year, but they are also facing a few other SOC teams that are also going to be improved: Burg, Minford and Valley. West will also be dangerous, but I think the key to opponents stopping the Tigers will be stopping Roback. Teams that can push him out of the pocke...

Re: Derek Roback Offers
Derek is good enough that he was offered a D1 scholarship as a junior. Not a D1 college visit. Not a letter from a D1 school. A D1 scholarship OFFER. One also has to realize as JohnKnight alluded, one of the biggest problems with putting Derek Roback at quarterback is that you lose him at receiver....

Re: Derek Roback Offers
Bleeding Red-Maybe the reason for the "medicore" games is the talent surrounding him. No disrespect for the Tigers but Roback is on another level compared to those around him. Walls had talent around him, alot more than what Roback has now. That is obvious. Put Roback under center on the ...

Re: Caleb Southworth Offers?
No one actually tihinks either will change schools. Just speculating what they could do if they were on the same team. Not that often (meaning never) that both schools have potential D1 football players in the same class. I heard Malone had some small offers if not some schools looking real hard? A...

Re: WK 6 Waverly @ Minford
...just that he doesn't get the ball enough to show people what he really is capable of. If I'm not mistaken, I believe that Kevin is on pace to gain 2,000 yards rushing and receiving combined this season. I don't believe that anyone has ever done that at Waverly before. I'd say that means he's get...

Re: WK3 (0-2) Wellston @ (1-1) Waverly
He wasn't talking to you burg09, we ignore your posts. He was talking to the so-called Waverly fans that are criticizing the same guy that has been calling the offense for the last 4 years. 10-0 and 9-1 the last 2 regular seasons 2-2 in playoff games. I am not going to get in a peeing contest with ...

Re: WK3 (0-2) Wellston @ (1-1) Waverly
Waverly loses 15 starters to graduation (21 seniors in all), returns one LINEMAN (offense & defense) with any kind of experience at all, is in the midst of breaking in a brand new QB who happens to be replacing a College DI ALL Ohio stand out, and people are running their yaps after two games i...

Re: Nominations for SEO players of the week for week 1
Just so fbone will call me a stinkin genius again: Roback: 422 yards in 27 passes gives him 15.63 yards per successful, completed pass. Boggs: 130 yards in 4 successfully completed passes gives Tyler 32.5 yards each. I think, as a passing quarterback, and considering that he didn't get every offens...

Again, I was quoting somebody and agreeing.

Re: WK3 (0-2) Wellston @ (1-1) Waverly
Wellston will win, 27-26, when it counted the most, (against Jackson) they didn't run the ball, and they lost, this will be a repeat Maybe they should try running the ball the entire game and see what happens. Roback wasn't so hot this week either, hope he does better and gives malone and rowland th...

Re: Nominations for SEO players of the week for week 1
fbone, So let me get this straight, it's okay for you to call someone a "stinkin genius" (on 2 occasions) but it's not okay for me so say something as mild as I did? It's not unnecessary and "straight up" rude what you did? The point I was trying to make is that Roback's stats w...

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Jackson @ (1-0) Waverly
Haha i just wish Walls could Have 47 throws in a game against a weak secondary like that 800 yards 12 tds? Roback is Clearly more of a threat on the run but his arm is not nearly as close as good as Walls In time his arm will develope but to give him this much praise is obsurd Hey, I like your poin...

roback and his passing arent that good I am not denying he is a good player because he is but not great. Well, which is it? Is he good or not? My mistake contraindicating myself, I am just saying he is not this awesome player like everybody seems, He is GOOD, NOT GREAT, Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Nominations for SEO players of the week for week 1
To nominate one person is tough but either Shane Price or Kevin Malone. Definately, without them, Robacks stats would be horrendous. Why was Malone being a wide reciever? He is a running back but they didn't use him so Roback would "shine" I agree, Price and Malone caught the ball well an...

Re: WK 2 (1-0) Jackson @ (1-0) Waverly
You have GOT to be kiddin',right? Roback not that good!? Yes he was off time on a some passes last game, and yes, we do have good receivers, but he IS the best player around. This is a young man being recruited by several major colleges. There are articles about him on Bucknuts and Buckeye Planet may...
