Re: SOC 2 LEAGUE PROJECTIONS

I'll be surprised if Waverly finishes ahead of Northwest. Will not be surprising. Will be outcoached. NW just keeps recycling coaches and expect different results. What's that called? Oh yeah NW. Not the problem right now with basketball. Most of it is kids not willing to put in the time and work t...

Minford Valley Webster Burg West Waverly NW Eastern Think minford and valley are really the 1A/B teams and could go either way. Giving Minford the nod simply because they probably have the top scorer in the area. Webster will be on most games but look for them to have a nice post season. I'll be su...

Is Burg requiring masks in school? I know the numbers are going up in the younger population.

8th graders being offered D1 scholarships have already happened. Not sure what your issue with a D1 school offering a sophomore? If the D1 school has checked the kid out and knows he can play, what the problem with offering him early?* [/quote] I did not think colleges/universities could officially ...

Re: Coaching Vacancies 2020-2021

If Northwest hired Scarberry (dad) and the son as a teacher that is a great hire for them. Scarberry was a old-school hard-nosed coach. Let him get the program back on solid ground and then let the son take over. Not a back strategy! What ground was it on when he was there? Wasn't very good then. N...

Re: Can Northwest knock off Symmes?

northwest has no business playing in the smaller conference of the soc, it's ridiculous. they are division 5. playing d6 and d7 schools. grow some and move up a division where you should be. can't compete, get better. ridiculous using gemographics for an excuse. sorry I know this will offend some, ...

Re: Coaching Changes

Unioto Girls are looking for a new coach after coaches Cara Rathkamp and Kendra Dalton stepped down after the season. The pair led the Shermans program to a 52-14-10 record in their 4 seasons. The cupboard is definitely not bare, even though they lose a loaded class, so it is a good job for whomeve...

Question on rule 3-4-3 on subbing. If team with lead subs and clock stopped, can losing team sub then with clock stopped. Also, what if the game is tied? Running clock or not, I have seen some teams take a tie as a win.

Chewing gum

I have noticed in a few games this year that some players were chewing gum while playing. Are players allowed to do this? I never allowed my players to do this in games or practice. I thought it wasn't allowed. With my medical background I wouldn't allow it either way, it just scares me to death abo...
