I believe the "let down" that Swanker Pine was referring to was the fact that there was NO game! LOL

Re: South Webster vs Oak Hill 1-27

Is this for real? Everyone that surrounds both schools are playing. What's the deal with South Webster always canceling. I drove down 140 this morning and its a clear path.???? Heard Oak Hill cancelled because some of the boys had the flu??? Hmmm....Maybe someone doesn't want another loss before th...

Re: The press and girls basketball

and that is fine..but I think all players are playing to win..I just don't think it is necessary for all the offseason training. When the kid has graduated high school and looks back to all the things they did as a child are they going to remember fun times or just working hard for a sport?? No hard...

Re: The press and girls basketball

I think ironmen1987 is more on my line of thinking..I think ;-)...injury is a very good point too!..just think of the aches and pains we as parents have from high school sports, can you imagine the problems the kids are gonna have from all of the over use of certain muscles all the time? I mean, you...

Re: The press and girls basketball

I understand winning is fun...nobody likes to lose.. I'm not real sure I can get my point across through typing, and for that matter, not sure anyone really cares what my point is..lol... but what I'm trying to get across is that sometimes I think all the offseason stuff is for the parents...so they...

Re: The press and girls basketball

I always teach there are two parts to a pass. the passer and the receiver, you don't always get a good pass, but a good receiver will catch it if they are prepared to. Like everything else it is easy to teach things in practice, but if players are not willing to work at it or listen then you will n...

sportsnut mom-- The Cornerstone church in wheelersburg ( across from the pool) has a zumba class on Mondays and Thursdays from 7:30-8:30. They have stopped until after the first of the year but are supossed to start back up. You can probably call the church and get a start up date. The class is a da...

Re: Poor Choice Made by South Webster

nwmother95- are you talking about the 7th or 8th grade winning? if its the 8th grade then you need to watch the videotape again, you'll notice that the sw girls scored somewhere around 8-12 points very quickly on nw, and if you continue to watch the sw starters didn't play alot (or together) through...

Re: SOC scores for boys

SW 8th grade won and 7th lost. Don't know the exact scores, but I think 7th was 47-49, the webster boys I believe lead almost the whole game, then lost it right at the end, the Scott boy was up for 2 foul shots with seconds left on the clock, could've tied it up but didn't. Heard the 8th grade game ...

Re: Poor Choice Made by South Webster

I was there last night, and from the way the nothwest parents were acting, I can believe the northwest player who shoved the webster girl at the end had learned from her parent/parents how to act. The whole time I was there the northwest parents would not let up on the refs. Granted the refs didn't ...
