Re: Running in College?

Goode is good enough to run in college. I don't know about Division I or II but certainly NAIA. Rio's men's distance is on the up and up. They have had two really strong recruiting classes in a row. Coach Bowles is really helped with recruiting. If they can keep their runners healthy, they could hav...

Re: Running in College?

To give you an idea as to where Marietta College finished at All Ohio against the other regional college teams. Men Women Marietta 35th 23rd Rio 32nd Only finished 3 OU 5th 4th Shawnee 13th 13th Marietta is probably a little more competitive in track. How can they not be with the facilities that the...

Re: SEOAL 2008

Kammler on the boys side will be tough to beat. He is having a very good cross country season this fall. Should be a state qualifer. Selbee is also strong and should finish a close second. Wheelersburg as a team is too deep and good. For the girls, with Cook out for the season, no one will touch Rug...

Especially, If they can bring in a few of them each year.

How are Wilson and Crislip doing so far this fall?

Re: Running in College?

4:44 is good enough to run at many small colleges in Ohio. Do you have one year left in high school? If so, is it fair to assume that you will get faster this year than 4:44?

I think that it is exciting that Rio is on the rebound for distance for their men's team.

Re: Running in College?

Are you saying that almost every family of 4 in Southeast Ohio only makes less than 40,000 a year? That isn't even close to being true. That is an admission requirement at Berea for to get in. I'm sure that that the 40,000 figure can move a little but I doubt more than a few thousand. The point that...

Re: Running in College?

Berea college is a beautiful school as well. The coach there, Mike Johnson is a wonderful guy. I thought that you had to meet certain financial criteria to go there though. For instance, if your family income was above a certain amount, you couldn't get in because it was a school set up for more in ...

Re: Running in College?

I mean the average student. 15,000 per third year student let alone athlete is a ton of money. Rio couldn't make any money if the more than half or 3/4ths of their students were getting that much financial aid. I just don't believe those numbers. I also find it hard to believe that the majority of t...

Re: Running in College?

Rio is the cheapest university around with track and cross for the first 2 years. But you can always transfer somewhere after the tution jumps from comunty rates to private university. The tution and board at rio is above 20+ grand after 2 years, but the average person gets 15,000 FA and Rio offers...
