Re: ST JOE TOURNEY-----JAN.18 2012
Found it. Was 07-08 season and Fairland won the St. Joe Invitational over Chesapeake. Chesapeake was 2-0 on the right side of the river against Fairland that year. http://www.maxpreps.com/high-schools/chesapeake-panthers-(chesapeake,oh)/basketball-winter-07-08/schedule.htm I'm thinking chesapeake b...

Re: Fairland vs Chesapeake-----Jan. 6 2012
Peake is going to be young next year, so I'm afraid our OVC competition will be very strong soon enough! The last two years and this year have been sweet. But the next couple of years are going to be absolute battles. I wouldn't be surprised to see our starting lineup next year consist of 1 senior,...

Re: 12-30 - Chesapeake (5-1) @ Ironton (7-0)
That was a great game played by two of the best teams in the area. Very impressed with the team ball chesapeake played. Fletcher from Ironton is a beast. Also, when carter was in, Patrick Hintz played on him extremely well. Carter made a few tough shots, but Hintz was there to contest every one of t...

Re: 4th Annual Chesapeake Shootout
well, i beg to differ sir. they played fairly good defense against a weak schedule but when they got deep into the tournament they got exposed and had some flaws. Im not saying they were bad, they just need a skilled teacher of defense to help sharpen up some things. I have coached several 12 and u...

Re: 4th Annual Chesapeake Shootout
Is this a 4 man scramble or best ball?? I know a couple of guys who can really bomb it and I can drive it really far too(over 200 yards!) Is there free food at this thing? what about prizes for longest drive and longest putt? My group only plays in events that pay out really good so i need some mor...

Re: Chesapeake v Garaway Regional Semi-Finals
who is #33 for peake? i like his style of play. That'd be Javon Thompson and he is only a sophomore. He's gotten better over the past year. He is really good at distributing the ball, and has a pass first mentality. He can knock down the jumper too if he's open. He and Patrick are really good at wo...

Re: Alternate routes to the Convo.?
earp: Do not go all the way to Portsmouth from Lawrence County! Take 52 just past Wheelersburg to the next exit (South Webster--140). You are only 25 minutes from 93 (and less if you know the road!). You will hit 93 about 3 miles southwest of oak hill. When you hit 93 you are to the flat part of th...

Re: Fairland-Peake II
turd, I was there also and the reason Kennedy didnt have the points in the first half was that he didnt need to score and if the refs would have called all his elbows to the back and shirt grabbing Salyers would have been on the bench. Also Copley doesnt haqve to score big to contribute, he has a w...

Portsmouth sure got a heck of a draw with fairland having the one seed in their side of the bracket. The two seed was definitely good for Portsmouth.

Re: FAIRLAND @ CHESAPEAKE
I actually told a guy before the game yesterday that I thought fairland had a good team and had a chance to stick with the us for awhile. Fuller looks pretty good, fisher is as athletic as anyone on the court and can shoot it, and Salyers is a good post player. Their team definitely deserves some re...

Re: FAIRLAND @ CHESAPEAKE
Davis may be a very good coach but anybody can coach a team that has kids moving in from everywhere to play. And I am not saying that is wrong. I'm saying with that much talent, they would make any coach look great. lets see how I will say it again; they are a good team, very good but being proud a...

Re: FAIRLAND @ CHESAPEAKE
Sure he may have ran passed them, but if you keep running and don't stop, you will get three charges called and foul out later. Thompson is a sophomore and Patrick is a junior, and that was one of the craziest environments they played in. I think they played very well when they were in and like I sa...
