Re: 2-1 Fed @ Southern
Greatone let's put the stones down. You're quick to point out struggles but slow to recognize the 2010 FH Baseball team that made the Elite 8 in DIII last year and lost in the regional finals after a tremendous season and tourney run. Congrats to the Cross Country team, great work!! Also heard the M...

Re: 2-1 Fed @ Southern
Fed is having problems being mentally prepared for their games. In sports there are no nights off. FH is struggling with parimeter defense and baseline protection and they struggle playing guard oriented teams. Congrats to Southern. Lancers you have to keep working hard. This team has turned in some...

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
Expert Witness I want to congratulate your ability to know every team in SE Ohio and the innate ability to be such an amazing prognosticator on basketball. You must be really busy on Tues, Fri, and Sat nights, hopping from one gym to another. Obviously you don't understand the definition of a sleepe...

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
Expert Witness wrote "amazing, why does losing to 5 tvc hocking schools and a bad nelsonville team make FH a sleeper in a D3 sectional????" So could you share with us what your knowledge of competition in the TVC Hocking really is? Since they are playing very few schools outside their leag...

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
Alex only played FH once this year and that was at Alex. This is all they will play. Very few TVC Ohio-Hocking matches this year d/t the size of the Hocking now with Wahama and South Gallia in. I believe several of the TVC Hocking teams would give the Ohio teams a run for it this year but we won't k...

Re: D3 Southeast Sectional DRAW
Is this the first year that Meigs is DIII? Their 10/11 Boys enrollment is at 223, what is the cut off for II vs III? The seedings may run along with the school size interestingly enough. Meigs, Alexander, Zane Trace, Fairland all coming in with over 200 boys. River Vally, Crooksville, Wellston and N...

Re: 2-1 Fed @ Southern
Southern is certainly one of the more hostile places to get a win. FH is working hard........I say they don't go down without a huge effort. Southern needs to take them really seriously.
Too close to call.
Go Lancers!

This was a very close and hard fought game. Congratulations to the Wildcats for picking up the win. You have a very well disciplined team and courteous coaching staff. Best wishes for the rest of your season. Great game Lancers, a bounce here or there and this one was yours especially if the rainbow...

Re: FEDERAL HOCKING @ TRIMBLE
Great game Lancers! Wonderful win for a young team that saw 3 sophomores in the mix tonite. Great play by the bigman Chris Saylor for a great stand in the paint during the OT. Great Team win for all these players that put on a gritty performance. They've been hanging around strong all year and close...

Re: Eastern vs Federal Hocking 01/21/2011
Hey Catalyst, no problem. I think the Tomcats will give Eastern all they can handle in Glouster. It is hard to play in Reedsville and I think the Eagles are vulnerable and have the easiest stretch of their schedule behind them now. Trying to figure it out on paper isn't nearly half as fun as playing...

Re: Eastern vs Federal Hocking 01/21/2011
Thanks for the clarification Fedhocker. Not really a very appropriate time to approach a coach and for once (what am I saying here???) Athens 78 makes a good point even in his/her own nasty style. Your statement "in the end it is about a game and a group of teenage boys who will probably never ...

Re: Eastern vs Federal Hocking 01/21/2011
Grinder, I don't know what your knowledge of the FH Program is. For a variety of reasons and there is no stone throwing here, just a mathematical fact, FH has had 4 head basketball coaches in 5 years. The fans just want to see some stability return to a progam and school that has a great basketball ...

Re: Eastern vs Federal Hocking 01/21/2011
Good luck Lancers and to both teams. Always a good rivalry game. Hopefully we can focus on basketball here. Never know what will happen, that's why we play the game. When you look at all these high school teams there are really very small differences when it comes down to it in the end with turnover...

Re: Wahama @ Federal Hocking Jan 8
Gym Rat 88 I believe this will be the deciding factors in this one: 1) Lancers must cut down on turnovers 2) They must shoot their foul shots better 3) Keep up the hard work from a variety of players and get Saylor involved in the offense. Of all the players on the team I think he shoots foul shots ...

Re: 1-7 Southern @ Federal Hocking
Catch One - it takes both, good coaching and developement/fundamentals from the top down. Hoping to see the big man get more involved as the season goes on. Sometimes great game coaches have weak programs and if given natural talent they can coach it and the flip side is if given a group of normal t...

Great one you bring up some very good points here. From rumor on the street I believe the 7 footer although a junior is sophomore age so for his age I believe he is maturing very well because it takes the bigger kids longer to physically mature. If you remember D.J. Cunningham from Waterford he didn...

Re: Has anybody noticed any D-1 prospects to watch for?
Good luck to all these potential D-1 players. Don't know anything about these young men off the courst but one very important factor, more than ever before, is academic performance. Hopefully these are all good students and can compete in the classroom as well. Unfortunately this is the dividing lin...

How many home games has Eastern had to start their season? They will certainly see some challenges when they leave Reedsville in the second half of the season.
