Re: Logan gets turned away from MSL again. Now what!?
I doubt that Point Pleasant would ever go back to the SEOAL now that Gallia Academy is gone. Once again the best option for the SEOAL would be to get Marietta and Athens back into the league, and then maybe look at trying to add one or maybe both of the Parkersburg schools. An SEOAL that included Lo...

Re: Logan gets turned away from MSL again. Now what!?
Marietta and Athens should be in the SEOAL along with Logan, Jackson, and Warren. They are the 5 largest schools in southeastern Ohio and all should be in the same league period. It's not like there are a bunch of division 2 and 3 schools in the immediate area to choose from. These are basically the...

I didn't care for the new school being moved to Centenary either. Centenary is not Gallipolis.

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
ask yourself why did this so called rivalry stop? ask yourself why did they want to play this so bad this particular year? I think everyone knows the answer to that, and I think everyone knows what the results of the games would have been if the series hadn't ended back in the early 2000's. I like ...

Re: Week 2: Gallia Academy @ River Valley
As a Gallia Academy alumni, I'm happy to see this game back on the schedule. The blue devils aren't exactly what they used to be, and River Valley seems to be improving so it's good for both programs right now. I hate that the series had to restart when Gallia is possibly at one of it's lowest point...

Re: 2015 Logan @ Athens
Athens is not "down" as someone posted. They are actually pretty good. Winning just won't be as easy these days without the OU kids and the two giant receivers. Logan and Zanesville will probably be their only losses. Athens will breeze through the TVC schedule. Nelsonville could cause som...

Re: 2015 Logan @ Athens
Athens has run out of move in O.U. coaches sons and now must rely on local "native" talent. We all know how well that worked out for them, leading them to run to the "minor leagues". Athens get to win some games in their "minor league" but reality awaits in the SEOAL. ...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
Basically, there needs to be a viable league in the area for the big boys to play in. The SEOAL might have to suffer for a couple of years with just 3 members, but I think the league will survive. The current members have nowhere else to go. There are two area large schools in particular that are a ...

Re: Final year of the SEOAL; 3 sport affiliate membership in
Prediction: Within the next year, Marietta announces they are coming back to the SEOAL and they reform the league with 4 teams (Jackson, Logan, Warren). Another prediction: The TVC grows increasingly disgruntled with Athens winning everything every year. It's no secret Athens is too big for that le...

Re: What improvements would you like for your league to make
The SEOAL should realistically look something like this. I think you might be able to get Marietta on board for something like this if Athens were receptive, but getting them to leave the TVC for a league with similar schools would be impossible. Gallipolis should remain in the OVC. Their numbers a...

The SEOAL should realistically look something like this. Re: TVC says no to Jackson and Warren
I agree that Gallia is gone for good. They would be the smallest school in any new proposed SEOAL, and Gallia isn't exactly producing the kind of teams and athletes they used to in the past. The OVC might be good for them with old rivals Ironton and Portsmouth. As well as a new budding rivalry with ...

Re: TVC says no to Jackson and Warren
The best thing for Logan, Jackson, and Warren to do at this point would be to try and maybe convince Marietta and the two Parkersburg schools to join the SEOAL. I doubt Gallia is coming back. Their enrollment has dropped dramatically the last few years, and that trend is expected to continue. They w...

Re: Semper Fidelis All American Game
Slice it any way you want to but Athens has sent 2 QB's from High School to the Big Ten in the Past 11 years. Grant Gregory to Indiana in 2004 and Joey Burrow to THE Ohio State in 2015. Quite an Accomplishment for a Small School down in SEO. Gregory also played for USF and started for Kansas State....

Re: Jackson officially applies to the TVC
I was spitballing this with a poster from Jackson. Athens voted yes to expansion earlier this year. Thus putting their approval on a TVC division which grouped them with Logan, Gallia, Jackson and Warren. So with that being a fact, my question is.. what's stopping Athens from going back to the SEOA...

Re: Jackson officially applies to the TVC
A 3 division set-up like the one I have laid out below would have been perfect in my opinion. All the divisions are made-up of schools that are equal in size. The league travel would have been very manageable. Although one school would have to crossover, the Hocking division could stay at an even 8 ...
