Re: SEOAL 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions

Yes. Venham was the one I was thinking of I believe. How do you Logan guys think a potentially long football playoff run will affect Angle and Mays for Basketball, especially early on? Also, if Angle has any football money coming his way(I don't know if he does or not?) will he play basketball. I su...

Re: SEOAL 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions

Good question. There are no Hitchens, Chambers, Knights, Aronhalt, or Harris level players in the league this year that I am aware of. London from Chilli will be better than all of them in time but is only a soph this year so probably not as good now as they were as juniors and seniors. Maybe? Ragla...

Re: Man-to-Man or Zone Defense

BOTH. Unless you are superiorly talented, you need ot do both effectively to be a great defense. Teams can be good doing one or the other, but unless you are physically superior to those you play, you must do both. I prefer to press ALL THE TIME unless you're team is slow. Play a match-up zone, swit...

Re: SEOAL 09-10 Thoughts and Predictions

If he went to East then I've seen him play before. I saw them last year and while their record wasn't great, they had some pretty decent players. I can't think of any of the names, so I can't think of which one he is but I've at least seen him.

Re: SEOAL predictions

1. Chilli 2. Marietta 3. Warren 4. Logan 5. Ironton Chilli has to be the favorite but definately is not a given. Any of the top 5 are capable IMO. Chilli at 1. 2-5 are VERY close IMO. Ironton could be 2 and Marietta could be 5 for example. Logan is talented but I need to see them do something befor...

Re: Best Basketball Conference in Southeast Ohio is?

neither south webster nor oak hill would not have won state without transfers. probably the same with chillicothe. when was the last time a southeastern team won the state with homegrown players only? When was the last time a team in OHIO won with homegrown players. It is actually probably LESS of ...

Re: Pfloyd's Preseason Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio 09.10

Good list. Teams I think could be a bit low and could move up once the season starts are Waverly, Chillicothe, and Hillsboro. Hillsboro should be the favorite in the SCOL. Waverly will be the favorite in the SOC along with Wheelersburg and Chilli will battle for the SEOAL with Warren, and a few othe...

Re: WK6 (1-4, 0-1) Chillicothe @ (3-2, 1-1) Ironton SEOAL

Chillicothe as a whole has very fickle fans. If we are 9-0 there will be a packed house ANYWHERE. If we are 1-4 only the parents will come. I wish Chilli fans would support the kids no matter what but, as sad as it is, that is the culture around here.

My top three that I have seen in person are: Malik London, Chillicothe: 6'8'', Sophomore-to-be, On ESPN's watch list to be a top 100 prospect in the nation for his class. Plays in the All-Ohio Red AAU program with future Buckeye players like Jared Sullinger, and Jordan Sibert. Best Freshman defender...

Re: 2009 SEOAL Previews: Chillicothe Cavaliers

I just want to make it known now. There have been a lot of doubters about this year's Cavs team. Some of them are players that just graduated this year, which is very distressing. Those kids ahould be supporting their former teammates but that is a different argument. The Cavalier fans who come on h...

As for Southern Ohio. I think the best are... 1)Spartan Stadium Really will miss it. Their new Stadium looks like it will be the gem of SEO but I really wish they would have just put that money into Spartan 2)Tank Satdium History...Unique 3)Logan's new field Really Nice 4)Bill Sauer Field(Logan's ol...
