Re: Portsmouth Coaching Job

In the twelfth month the angel Shaffer was sent from Captain Trojan to a city of Ohio named Portsmouth, to the school district whose mascot was the Trojan, of the house of Troy. And the man he saw was the AD. And he came to him and said, “Greetings, O favored one, Captain Trojan is with you!” Bu...

Re: Portsmouth Coaching Job

I remember like it was yesterday when the hiring committee brought in King Trojan....I hope they can find a worthy replacement. I, The Reaper, your brother and companion in the suffering and defeat and patient endurance that are ours at PHS, was on the street of Waller because of the word of Captain...

Re: Portsmouth Coaching Job

King Trojan strictly warned me not to tell this to anyone. And he said, “The Son of Captain Trojan must suffer many things and be rejected by the elders, the assistant coaches and John Madden himself, and he must be fired and on the third day be hired again.” Then he said to us all: “Whoever w...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

Found out on Tuesday that the Trojans will open the 2015 season with the Valley Indians, who have beaten PHS 3 years in a row. I saw this game in vision the other night as I lay in bed. There was King Trojan, stout like an Ox. There was a great multitude of Trojan warriors that no one could count, ...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

One more year? Remember this my friend, the Son of Captain Trojan, whose beard is like blazing fire and whose Madden playbook has been burnished into bronze, was anointed King Trojan last week by the football gods. Therefore he shall rule over Trojan Land (and the OVC) for eternity with an iron XBox...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

I don't care if these accusations are true or not because I know one thing: this guy coaches with passion! I see how he gets those kids fired up to play. You don't need all that other stuff. I have heard the same rumors you have and I say thank God! Going through the motions practice after practice,...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

Tonight.....after the game........the heavens opened up over the Trojan Coliseum and the football gods descended up the field to anoint Coach Sparks King Trojan. The players, myself, trojandave, and the other 298 faithful fans gathered round and kneeled before him in awe. Scepter in hand, he was car...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

A little less than three hours until kickoff...I can barely stand the excitement. I bet the boys got the XBox fired up and are dusting off their clubs. We are going to be Puttin' for the Brand tonight!

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

As game time approaches, visions of victory dance in my head. The victory over Cincinnati Hughes will begin a new era of Trojan Football. Will it be an era of glory and great times or one of tears and sorrow. Only time will tell. Coach Sparks has the destiny of this city in the palm of his hand. Wha...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

I hear an old Scorpions song in the distance... http://youtu.be/n4RjJKxsamQ I prefer these lyrics instead sung in the same thick, German accent: Take me to the magic of the moment On a Friday night Where the Trojans of tomorrow realize their dreams under Sparky... Take me to the magic of the moment ...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

Haters are this guys motivators! When they take the OVC by storm next year, I hope Coach can turn down the offers that will pour in from the next level. We need to follow HBK's lead and rally around this guy so we can keep him.

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

Sled, shmed. That's for dinosaurs. Discipline? I hear those kids say yes sir, no sir all the time when he is talking to them. That's discipline. Who cares if they don't know where to line up or make a proper pitch on the option. I think some just don't respect the genius of this guy's approach. You'...

Re: Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

Amen brother! You know, until last Friday night, I had my doubts about the direction of the program. It's nice to see that there are others out there that feel the way I do. I was sitting in the stands the other night watching the game and my friends were telling me about some of the new team buildi...

Week 10 - Portsmouth (2-7) vs Cincinnati Hughes (4-5)

Well, the Trojans welcome the Big Red to town this Saturday. I don't know much about them, but I did see my Trojans make some strides last week. It didn't seem like any timeouts were wasted just for the sake of chewing butt and the Robinson kid actually carried the ball on something other than dive....

Re: Week #9 Warren at Portsmouth

While I think Portsmouth should win this game, I (and I am sure many in the stands on Friday nights) cannot be too hopeful. We have one of the fastest kids in this part of the state, and he carries the ball up the middle a 20+ times a game. But hey, at least he got some yards last week vs. Jackson J...
