Re: D4 R15 Semifinal: Ironton (7-4) vs. Johnstown-Monroe (11
I've witnessed the Johnnies once a year when they play Heath and I've never noticed any foul play. I can't comment on last evenings game because I was not in attendance. As for the Ironton players ? I recall Heath's heartbreaking loss in '09 ( O.T. game ) and after the Tigers won the game I noticed ...

Re: D4 R15 Semifinal: Ironton (7-4) vs. Johnstown-Monroe (11
I thought Johnstown had a chance to win but never would have predicted this outcome. Sometimes a game just snow balls and the Tigers got caugt up in that. In this area ( Licking County ) only one team really plays Ironton style football and that Licking Valley ( because they are the only area team t...

Re: D4 R15 Semifinal: Ironton (7-4) vs. Johnstown-Monroe (11
I'm only familiar with the Johnstown team from what little I read about them in the paper. The league they play in wasn't very good ( Fredricktown was down ). I saw them play 2X last season, in week one they killed Granville and in week two, Heath beat them in a very good game. This team returned mo...

Re: Logan at Newark - Need Score Or Winner
I would not read too deep into that jv score. Newark starts at least one sophomore and another plays major minutes on the varsity. Jalen Dartis, who's a 6'3 guard is a sophomore. His brother, Jordan Dartis may be starting next year for Newark as a freshman. These two are the real deal and Newark pla...

Re: Ironton vs John Glenn 1/8/
I think Ironton runs away with this game. Newark Catholic lost a lot from last season's state runner up and are basically a mid level team in their league. The Green Wave beat Sheridan at Sheidan, so if the Generals are one of the MVL's best, the league must be down.

Re: D4 R15 #3 Hartley vs. #2 Heath
Key will get hit....and I think he'll get hit many times in the backfield. If he breaks that initial hit ...it may be trouble but Heath's defense will swarm to the ball. I like how Heath's offense works this year. They have two 6'5 receivers that have great hands and Benner the QB has great touch on...

Re: D4 R15 #3 Hartley vs. #2 Heath
A lot of people on other sites are saying that Hartley will win big... I think Heath will win but it will be close or high scoring I think it's a lot to do with the so - called private school power vs public school debate. It's like Hartley has to be better they're from the CCL, although they may o...

Re: D4 #1 Ironton vs. #4 Sparta Highland
As a Heath fan I'm rooting for the Tigers. I think they have the top program in the region and it's a great challange to face them. Also, the H.C. is legendary and Ironton plays ball the right way ...hard nosed but very clean. They are respectul of the game.

Re: D4 R15 #7 Alexander @ #2 Heath
Attended the game and I saw an Alexander team that played til the final whistle. Heath jumped on the Spartans early and often. The kickoff stunned Alex from the start and it seemed like it took the rest of the quarter for the Spartans to get over that start. How many times to you see a player bobble...

Re: D4 R15 #7 Alexander @ #2 Heath
I'll try and give some stats that I took out of the local paper pertaining to the Bulldogs. Passing: Cole Benner 66-of-114 / 1,053 yds / 12 TDs / 5 INTs Rushing: Cole Benner 113/744 (6.6 ypc) 12 TDs Donyell Simpson 123/805 (6.6 ypc) 8 TDs Brian McDanial 81/545 (6.3 ypc) 8 TDs Receiving: Zach Wolfe 2...

Re: TO THE ALEXANDER SPARTANS
goodluck they will need it playing ironton at the tank I think that Albany may have received a break ..... they may actually play @ Heath. they may have dodged the tank.... but now they are coming to the SWANK! LOL !!!! The rhyme is the only thing that the "Tank" and the "Swank"...

Re: D4 R15 #7 Alexander @ #2 Heath
Thanks OZZIE!!! Also, Congratulations to the Spartans for your sucessful back to back seasons. The two schools football history seems to mirror each other. Heath does not have a strong football history either. I like the pride shown by your fans. I really think you'll enjoy your trip and will have a...

Re: D4 R15 #7 Alexander @ #2 Heath
To any poster with knowledge on the Spartans could you please post that information. I know that Alex has been to the playoffs two straight years but I know very little else. Are they a big physical team ? Are they fast ? Do they pass much or strictly run most of the time. I will post what info you ...

Re: D4 R15 #7 Alexander @ #2 Heath
Good luck spartans you guys can do it!! I'll be heading down there from albany no matter how far it is! how far is it anyways? two hours? How far is Alexander from Lancaster ?? Heath may be 30 mins tops from Lancaster. It'll be a lot shorter than a trip to Ironton. I know a lot of Coshocton fans ar...

Re: TO THE ALEXANDER SPARTANS
I'm not too familier with the Spartans. As a Heath fan what can I look for if this contest holds ? Are the Spartans a big team ? Heath is not a very big team but they have speed at all positions on offense and defense.

Re: D4 R15 Week 9
A lot would have to happen, but one possibility would be a rematch of Ironton and Hartley. If the above holds, this would be for the regional championship. A lot could happen but I would not rate Hartley over Coshocton or Heath. These two teams were pretty close last season and both teams returned ...
