Who is going to the jackson invitational

What kind of field is expected for this invitational?

I think Jackson might show up for the meet.

Vinton County will be there. Off the top of my head, last year Ironton, Logan, Athens, Meigs, Oak Hill and Wellston were all there. I can't remember all of the others.

It is a solid weeknight meet with usually moderate temperatures. The golf course is a great workout for coaches who want to see their athletes.

i think the Bear Run is the day before so that's gonna cut into the attendance i'm sure. last i heard he hadn't heard back from alot of teams.

Yes I believe there are results.

One of the Ironladies went down halfway thru the varsity race and then i started picking up trash so i never got a chance to write down the results. Hopefully the Logan or Vinton Co coach can post more info later. Allison Malone from Alexander won the girls jr high and Taylor Hatfield from Zane Trace won the girls varsity(pretty sure). Zack Varney from Eastern Pike won the boys jr high and Ian Kilgour from Jackson was the varsity boys winner.

Logan boys won it just out preforming athens

Zt girls dominated followed by chillicothe and Athens

For those teams that usually run at this meet, is it normaly run this well. I was quite pleased and so were my kids

This meet is normally ran very well. We had a few issues this year as we had some parents that are new to the sport helping out and then we had a runner collapse during the girls varsity race but overall i thought we were able to make adjustments quickly and smoothly. Franklin Valley Golf Course is always helpful and its a beautiful place to run (unless you hate hills haha). Hopefully we can get back to having over 20 teams like in years past but with more events being added every year it gets tougher to bring in teams.
