Re: Numbers around the southeast?
At Nelsonville-York we have 5 varsity boys,7 varsity girls, 5 junior high girls, 5 junior high boys. If things continue this will be the very first time in the history of N-Y that all four squads can score as a team. For the varsity girls this will be the very first year ever for a full squad - we may not be great, but we will be there!
I am going to try something this year, on the very first day of school I am going to have an announcement inviting ANYONE in grades 7 through 12 to give us two weeks of practice to determine if they may enjoy cross, they will not be permitted to compete for 3 weeks,BUT I will take them along to meets so that they can see what it is all about.
