Any southeast runners going to Footlocker, NXN, or any other post season races?

I can't think of any talents in the SE that would be going.

If they have Freshman races Adrian Ross of Unioto and Tanner Mattie of Fairland, should go.

The only other talent I can think of is Peyton Adkins.

Will Peyton be doing any post season races?

Peyton is signed up for the NXN. She's been sick but I think she's still going. She still doesn't know if she made the championship race. This is the first year for individuals to run, so I don't know what to expect. I do know that Terre Haute is sure a lot shorter drive than Kenosha.

Did she choose NXN because the drive is shorter?

haha... Yeah. I have 7 friends running there. 8 if you count that guy from Shawnee who got in on the at-large bid.

Congrats! I'm glad Shawnee got a bid cause being in the same Conference as Malone is tough.

Won't be there myself. I was in a car wreck the day after I spoke to you at Louisville.

I'm fine. I skipped class for a couple days, have attended all the physical therapy sessions(I have 4 of 8 weeks left), but I'm allowed to start exercising now. I run a mile everyday and weightlift (light stuff) a couple times a week. It's all good.

But back to the topic at hand.

Congrats to Peyton Adkins on her 8th place finish at State and I wish her good luck on her NXN debut!

Thanx serunner. Got the entry list for the race....a lot of very good runners going. Morgan, Gillespie, Neczypor to name a few. Does anyone know what this course is like? What course would you compare it to?

Yes, this is the Nike race. It's in Terre Haute. Is this where the NAIA Nationals are? I know there seems to be a lot of college races there. 4sporter...congrats on Shawnee's bid and good luck to you.

Will anyone close GAHS camp let us know how NXN went?

NXN was quite the learning experience. Peyton had the worst race of the year....ran a 19:40 and came in 46th. Took too much time off and then got sick. S Morgan won it, Nexzypor 2nd, Gillespie 4th. Mags team was 2nd, so they all go to Oregon. Course was muddy, rained for 2 days, temp was 35 and windy. Not ideal conditions but it was fun. Didn't know they put obstacles on the course. In 4 places, they lined up bales of hay in rows of 3.

Nike posted a video of NTN on their website a couple of years ago, and I thought the hay bales were odd.

Was it a natural course or man made? (like a motorcross course)
