Keep Your Fork 5K

Post by Ken A_D_D »

With the CC season winding down (and unfortunately finished for 99% of us) I know that many of you are looking forward to some much needed rest. But if you are planning on getting back into a running program here after a couple of weeks off, why don't you put the KYF 5K on your run schedule. We are in our eighth year of hosting this race at Meigs High School every Saturday-After-Thanksgiving (That's November 28 this year) and the proceeds benefit the Brandi Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. For information on the race or to print a registration form, visit us at:

http://keepyourfork5krun.webs.com/

The cost is $16 and as of this past Thursday, we still had T-shirts available. You can register by mail or on race day between 9:00 and 10:30 am. The race begins at 11:00 am. Hope to see you there.

Great turnout today! The best we've ever had (by 36). Michael Owen and Peyton Adkins were the winners. That's the 4th year in a row for Michael.

The results should be posted in the next couple of days on our website (see above).

Thank you one and all for your participation today. We at the Brandi Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc. really appreciate it.

This is a great course and the volunteers do a wonderful job of stopping traffic and motivating the participants.
From a runner's viewpoint it's worth participating in this just for "the hill" alone!
