2010 SEOAL

Post by ironmen1987 »

Will anyone be able to stay with Gallia this season ? Young talent mixed with experience makes them look awesome from the outside. (GIRLS)

Anything left in the jr high this season ? I think there was a couple of 7th graders in the top 10 at the league meet but it seemed most of the top group were 8th graders...(GIRLS)

I'm assuming you're talking about the boys since Logan didn't seem to place alot of girls in the top group at league. What has changed that leads you to believe they can move up into the top group ? Not trying to be mean as Logan boys did place several in the top 25 but i'm curious as to why you feel they're ready to challenge....

As a part of the Logan boy's squad, I am optimistic about the improvement of our team as well as myself.
We got 4th in the league and I hope to better the team to compete for the league title next fall.

Logan may got 4th put look for them to come back and be in the top 3. they only lost one runner and that is eli so look for them to have 4 runner in the low 18s by the the time seoal meet comes around.

I'd look for Logan to take it, considering Warren returns all of its runners except for two. Yeah, Warren, they've got no chance.

Right now it's looking like Jackson may only have 6-8 runners out of the twenty we need to fill out our 4 teams: 2 jr high girls, no boys, 2-3 varsity girls, 2-3 varsity boys. Jackson cross country is dying a slow death..... I honestly feel that this is one sport that jr high kids could compete with the varsity if given the chance. Of course that will never happen...

i think it is going to be down to 3 teams in 2010 but who will caom out on top will be the team that wants it the most.

I was looking at the girls results from league (high and middle school) and it looks like both Warren and Gallia could be loaded. Both teams ran well in the middle school race and have plenty of talent returning. The incoming freshman class might very well decide the league winner.

This years SEOAL will be a close one.
There are three teams that will battle it out. And none of them are Logan. First of all, Logan barely had anyone to break 5 minutes in the 1600..... so that's that 5kdude.
Okay, now its gonna be between Ironton, Warren, and Marietta.
Neither Marietta or Warren lost much of any talent.
Ironton has a few strong runners.
So it could really go either of the three ways.

well one thing logan had two guys under 5 in the mile and that was eli and tyler. and again if you dont think Logan can be in the top 3 you are wrong. that team wants to win and they are going to put it in there head that they can, and ironton won't be in the Seoal no more so why dont you study some before you say logan dont have a chance.

i like how you have to put teams down like that. yes its going to be a good meet this year but saying logan dont have a chance, your wrong they have as much as a chance at the other two schools, but tell you can give me some real facts that says logan cant win then i will belive you

Based on last years results Warren definitely looks like they'll be tough to beat. Marietta along with Logan and possibly even Gallia depending on their freshman will fight it out for 2nd.

The SEOAL has been predictable for the past 5 years or so with ether Warren or Marietta taking the title by a close margin. Ironton really livened things up last year and its a shame they won't be back. :(

With Ironton gone its going to basically be a dual between Warren and Marietta like always. Which is impossible to predict, in the past Ive seen Marietta win when Warren was by far the better program and vice-a-versa. It will all come down to who is sick, having a bad race, or who responds better to the selected course. If it ends up that one of two gets to host I pick to host to win.

Logan will be a distant third. Third place at the seoal however simply means you have a full team.

Actually there was 6 full teams for the boys league race last season and with Ironton gone we will still hopefully have 5 this year. I thought i saw on Gallia's schedule that the league meet is there this year.
