I think every sport except cross country is on our calendar. I'm sure we will be at the Southeastern and Piketon Invitationals. Our first race last year was at the Paint Valley Inv. I was surprised to see Wellston on your schedule Coach K. Where they plan on running this meet, Alma ? It's a shame they can't set something up around the fairgrounds.

The course is behind the high school's entrance off of 327. There is a large open field behind the high school, which is used for the beginning and end of the race. It winds around the entrance, the ball fields and through the wooded area next to the park. It's a decent course. They had a small middle school meet there at the end of the season last year, so this is how I know about the course.

I know where you're talking about. I never really thought about them doing it there.

Do I read it right? The Gallia Academy Invite is NOT at Rio this year.

The Gallia Invite is at Gallia Academy. The course is currently being set up across the road from the school. I believe it was originally supposed to be on the same side as the school, but due to construction, had to be moved. I believe the start will be a flat straight up and down loop which will take you down towards the soccer fields, will wind its way back towards the back of Green school which you will cross a narrow road that will have those rubber mats on it. You will run around a small shelter area that will eventually lead you into a small wooded area with a path that is covered with wood chips. You will run down a small hill- through a gate, cross the road again and start up a decently long hill (probably a little steeper and longer than Rio's first hill). You will then run on a path up on top of the hill, through some trees and come down and wind your way back down-go over a bridge and into another field with a path thats cut along a creek that's about 400 meters. I'm not sure from there where it goes, but this should give you an idea of the type of course and where it's located.
