Div.III Regionals at Fairfield Union
Does anyone know the dates and the schedule of events for the girls
Re: Div.III Regionals at Fairfield Union
Here's the link to all regional information -- http://www.baumspage.com/rtrack/index.htm Fairfield Union is listed under Lancaster (region 11).
We'll post heat and flight assignments for this regional at around 5:00 or so today as the games committee is meeting today to review seeding, starting heights and increments, etc.

Some great representation from the SE district.......Tanner Walls of Paint Valley looks like a state top 3 in the 110 hurdles, the Southeastern boys sprint relays are very strong and freshman Hall from SE running a 11.31 in the 100m is impressive. The Belpre girls spring relays and McCullough from Nelsonville and Oakie from Coal Grove will battle for state berths Friday. Hoggard from Peebles look tough in the 300 hurdles and several others are competing Friday in the finals.
The others districts sent some tough state competing opponents with the Worthington Christian 4x4, Stuebenville CC girls relays and of course the most dominating athlete in the entire regional....Stephanie Morgan of Barnesville. Watching her in the mile makes you think you just might see her on tv someday and running about 2:10 in the 800 isn't too shabby either.
What was up with the girls high jump??? The Peebles girl was forced to jump within 6 minutes after anchoring the 4x800 team in the finals??? Why 6 minutes? What is the rush? I've never heard of the competitor being met immediately after the finish line and being timed by a timer person and being escorted directly to the event with a countdown to her final attempts. I don't see how that was fair in any way shape or form. Unacceptable comes to mind.

I thought it was 10 minutes not 6 but I have seen it before and have had it happen to me before. It was not in as important of a meet but as for the being fair, is it really fair to the girls who are waiting around and possibly getting cold? I think it needs to maybe be a longer time than 6 minutes but having the time limit to complete a jump is necessary or the event could take forever.
Re: Div.III Regionals at Fairfield Union
6 minutes is not fair....and the way they went about the 6 minutes was insane. The same HJ official spent plenty of time in her chair and even skipped the same girl in one of the rounds (while she was still there)
6 minutes cannot be the number.....the regulations are set for minimum breaks between 4x1 and 4x2 and other races which may often share athletes.
Would you rather wait 10 minutes on another athlete or run 800m at top speed and compete in another event in 6 minutes?
