Point Pleasant Junior/Senior High School would like to extend an invitation to all schools for our first season of home meets. Our new Ohio Valley Bank Track, on the campus of Point Pleasant Jr/Sr HS, is an 8-lane, polyurethane track. Jumping events are located within the track; our throwing venues sit just outside the outer fence, and are set up for excellent spectator viewing. Teams who wish to participate, in any of our meets, please contact Chip Wood ([email protected] or [email protected]) to reserve your spot.

Re: 2010 Point Pleasant Track Meets
Great to hear that you guys got a track put in along with the new school. That makes Point the only all-weather surface around except for Rio Grande. For schools that don't want to make the trip to Fairland, Athens, Marietta, Jackson, etc. for every meet (especially weekdays) this is great news. It can only improve the competitive level of the area and especially of the Black Knights. Schools from Meigs and Gallia Counties should be locks to show up for the meets, if invited.

Re: 2010 Point Pleasant Track Meets
We are very excited about the new facility. We will be sending out invites to all schools within a couple hours radius of Point Pleasant this upcoming week. But just in case we miss anybody, if any team would like more information or would like to reserve a spot just contact me at [email protected].
Although we have been without a track our coaching staff has been directing a meet at a nearby high school for a few years now. We run a very efficient meet in my opinion. Our goal is to attract good competitive teams and to conduct the meets so everybody (fans, coaches, and athletes) has a great experience.
