You are up against the Chesapeake Lions Club Meet the same day might want to change to Saturday to get more teams

Do you think teams would compete on Friday and Saturday?

The only possibility that moving to saturday would open up is that of teams not wishing to spend a long evening at a friday night meet. If there is a nearby meet on saturday of the same weekend, they could possibly seize some other teams in addition to those that are partial to the Rotaries in the first place. Result: increased team attendance. Unfortunately, this meet has been in steady decline and I hate to see it happen. Steadier meet management, fewer delays, and strategic placement of the meet can help to revitalize the event over a period of a few years.

The Northwest (Scioto County) Invitational is that night also and draws 16-18 schools.

Are you sure the Chesapeake Invite is April 11th? I saw GAHS tentative schedule and the Chesapeake Invite was listed on April 4th.

Personally, I like Friday. Saturday is also ACT's. Also, list the meet on Baumspage. I always thought that a Jr High Invite might work. There are not very many invites around for Jr High kids.

This used to be a saturday meet when the teams came out in greater numbers. Now that it is a smaller meet, it has moved to friday to accomodate the increasing tendency of teams to compete on friday night as opposed to saturday afternoon.

I hope that the Rotary Meet can be built back up.

The Rotarys used to be a frakkin' huge meet.

I do not think Reedsville Eastern will be there. They are scheduled for Belpre Shrine on April 12

Has the Rotary Relays or Belpre Shrine meet changed dates since last year and years before? Eastern has always attended both od these meets in years past.

Can you post Easterns schedule lovin'?
