Logan has 40 girls out this year with a lot of depth.Looks like they should do well in relay-meets.Field events and relays should be Logan's strongest events.

Logan will have Sheila Burns as head coach this season.
Good luck to her and the girls this year.

Congratulations to the Logan Girls Tracksters on going 2nd in the Chillicothe Invite and then picking up their first "1st" Place at the Unioto Invite yesterday Coach Sheila Burns' girls blew away the competition taking 140.5 points - 33 points better than the second place score of 107.5 ... Coach Burns picking up her first varsity coaching "W" !!!! nice job Coach Burns, Coach Helber, Coach Straus ... looks like the Senior leadership for the girls will go a long way in getting the underclass talent to become immediate impact "players" for the squad ... keep it up ladies !!!

Nice win by Logan girls. pfloyd, it might have looked like Logan "BLEW AWAY THE COMPETITION" on paper, but I hope that you didn't overlook the fact that a couple of those teams scratched some events that just could've picked up some good points for them. EX: Jackson, Vinson (400), Adkins, Townsend (1600), the 4x4 team, Close (300H), and the fact that the 4x2 from GA got dq'd in the 4X2. With only a few girls on your team, you can't afford any injuries, and it was quite cold that night. Still, congrats to the girls and to your new coach.

I noticed that too when going over the events.

It seems like Gallia starts out slow every year--but then when it warms up look out--(just might be smart coaching)

All we can do is watch what unfolds throughout the season. Surprises may wait around
a lot of corners. Good luck to the Lady Chiefs and to all the teams this season.
Hopefully the injuries stay away and it is a long, healthy season.

How did the Girls do at Newark?

Re: Logan Girls

... the girls finished in 4th place at Newark ... looked to be a tough field with school Above the Lancaster-Dixon Line ... Bosch took 1st in the high jump at 5'2" - congratulations ... that's where she finished last season, I'm sure she has her eye on a few records when the warm weather rolls in ... will wait for the LDN report to come out but I'd say that Coach Burns and staff were happy with the results at Newark vs the good competition they saw ...

... 3 meets this week? at least 2 ... quite a few of the girls will not be participating due to the LHS Band going to FLA and ACT testing on Saturday ... chance for others to step up for LHS and get an opportunity to show what they have in competition ...

Canal Winchester
Gahanna
Watkin Mem. Relays
Zanesville

These are the meets Logan has left until the league meet

I think Logan will have gone up against seven teams from the league going into the league meet.

I don't know if they have met Portsmouth or Ironton yet.
